But its important to note he is CB in a back 3.

Meaning he is a wide CB.

And often we have had one of our fullbacks tuck into a back 3 while the other attacks more, so that's how we would use him as a fullback.

But I agree, he wouldn't be used as an attacking fullback.

After the brilliant performances of Abdu and Max over the last few games, it seems almost unfair on them to bring in a player, who will replace one of them.

But rotation is the name of the game, and we can’t expect two 20 year-olds to carry the burden indefinitely.

I think the view from the Club is more long term. Stones and Ake will probably be gone at the end of the season and there are definite signs that Dias is in decline. We’ll have Khusanov, Alleyne, Guehi, Reis and maybe Bah covering the role next season.
