Except it literally does, because clubs can wait 5.5 months and sign him for free. In fact he could sign a pre contract for nothing abroad now. Which then lessens what palace can ask and expect for him at this point. Alexis Sanchez was a 60m player. We had agreed a fee of 65m in the summer...

So far I'm liking how Viana operates. I'm not a huge believer in Guehi but he's a stable player and PL proven. We have and will have a need in the squad for a centerback (Ake and Stones both HG and likely out after the season plus injuries to Ruben and Josko currently). For 20M getting an international level player at the proper age is good business.

Think we can swap 1 player for injury, so we could register one of Semenyo or Guehi for the last two group games in place of Gvardiol.
Alleyne would be a B lister, so can play anyway.
