Nervousness stemming from the 2 young lads at the back. This is why we need Guehi.
I've said for last 2 seasons that I think feck all happens in training. Whenever they have a free week ( rare I know) Pep let's them all feck off on holiday for 3 days. He should have them in for long training sessions, play various combinations of players together and ffs practice set pieces. Anytime Arse get a corner I know they will score, with us it's just straight to the opposition. It really is shocking. What goes on in training? As if they never played along side each other.
It didn't chalk either of them off, both given offside by the linesman.Apart from the two goals it’s chalked off?
Yeah but he's also always a yard or two behind the rest of the defence because he doesn't trust his pace (rightly), so it's always a close thing. He shouldn't be playing LBHe's asked to play a high line just like the rest of the defenders, the problem is our pressing is utter dogshite so the ball carrier has all the time in the world to play passes in behind, it's dogshite tactics from Pep.
That half was dreadful. Can’t believe we are even. Can only get better.
That sums up how bad we've been.We have managed to make Utd look competent.
We can’t be this bad again 2nd half surely?Fortunate to be level after that insipid showing.
Need a rocket up their arses.
Hes been doing it all match. After every decision that goes against them.Maguire should be been booked as well screaming at the ref like that.
Worrying performance no doubtAbsolute dogshit first 45.
Playing such a high line that United’s game plan is remarkably simple. If they timed their runs a bit better we’d be two down, at least.
Cherki and O’Reilly sitting on the bench, Semenyo ignored 99% of the time and Foden doing the square root of fuck all (again).
Very little fight and diabolical delivery from set pieces.
He’s not even trying to take on the fullback today. I think it’s because Lewis has inverted and Pep has told him to keep the widthHonestly, one of the worst 45 mins of football in recent memory. Lucky not to be a couple of goals down.
The defence is no secret. Ake is past it, Khusa and Alleyne are both young and nervous. Rico isnt the level required.
Midfield seem to have taken a day off, but my main gripe is with our attackers. Especially Foden and Haaland. The latter needs a break, and its clear to see.
We look toothless in every aspect of our game. Do our players wear heavier boots than other teams? They all look like they are running in treacle.
Also, I thought Semenyo was pacey. He looks really slow
