United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Can’t get over just how bad that was. No fight, no character and no tactics. That was an embarrassment from the whole side other than Donnarumma.

Not good enough. No win in 4 PL games.

Pathetic from so many of them. Absolutely infuriating to watch. In the middle of a fucking title race by the way.

No urgency, body language poor all round. Players walking around, not getting back. Piss poor and if Pep has the audacity to say we played well then it’ll be yet another nail in his quickly-closing coffin IMO.

Poor results are fine. I guess. But poor performances aren’t. And it’s been consistently shit for weeks.

I’d be gleeful if that was the last time I see some of those again in a City shirt.

They should’ve been down to 10 men anyway but I doubt that would’ve made a difference. We’re so tepid, so predictable and we’re a dream for teams to play against because of how we set up.

It’s tactical suicide from Pep and even worse when you consider he never fucking changes. Quickly becoming a dinosaur tactically IMO.

And if he continues to pick his favourites then the sooner he goes the better. The only way he won’t play Ake is if he’s not here. Same with Bernie. Same with Gundo last season.

Keeping Ake on instead of Alleyne is enough for serious questions to be asked. Ignorant the fact he can’t run and has been shit for over a year, he’s just come back from injury and played 90 minutes midweek as well. And Pep then wonders why players get injured. He overplays them and it fucks them and then us.

Fucking disgrace. The drop off in the team is staggering.

What is it now? Half a billion spent or more since the treble and we’ve gone from title favourites to battling for top 4 unable to win meaningful games on the road.

We’re in such a deep hole, relative to our resources.

It's the same story we've seen too many times now. It's not one player having an off day,it's six, seven or eight and it started from the first whistle with Alleyne's passing being dreadful
I could drone on about other players who were particularly poor, but the only one I will single out is Haaland. He lost almost every single duel and was really weak in the physical battles
If there's a silver lining to this, it's that Carrick might get the job full time

The back 4 makes a huge difference. It’s the foundation of success. Build a skyscraper without foundations and it will crumble.

The injures mean United are overrunning us at the back and that impacts the rest of the team, including when playing out from the back and keeping United cramped in.

Rico not good enough, Ake finished, Alleyne no experience at this level. Khus gets the ‘Oscar Bobb effect’ from a lot of posters on here. Majorly overrated based on not enough evidence with some hilariously even claiming he’s better than Dias - but probably the best today even if that’s not saying much.
