United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Fair do's mate

Hopefully this will kick us in the arse and we start performing again
Don’t see it unfortunately.
Last season and now this one shows we don’t have the warriors anymore.
We’ve spent a decade building a winners mentality only for it to disappear in 18 months.
We no longer fight when the going gets tough, now our heads drop and we hide.

Played right into Uniteds hands today, it was clear they would be up for it, crowd cheering anything and with misplaced passes and lack of intensity - that what they wanted. What hurst the most is the lack of passion and effort, one team wanted it and one didn’t. Playing with 10 men with Haaland who was outmuscled and fought by a fucking midget. Even when we was shite and limited on ability, we put a shift in. Haaland sitting out for a few games is needed, different option down the centre needed as Musaka had more touches

When we drop Phil and get a real creative player like Cherki playing behind him and let them build a relationship

Haalans got into the game more when Phil went off but we were already in a rut.

I don't worry about Haaland, he'll be back on form soon.
Problem is, when Haaland is not on form (not scoring), he’s a liability

That was a fuckin horrendous performance, listen if you play with a line that high with a makeshift defence, even with players like rico in it,what do u expect, about 8 times they were clean thru, such poor coachin from pep that,am honestly gettin fuckin bored of it,leeds or burnley wud of defended better, the tactics were so poor in that game, not 1 thru ball we tried for haaland against slab head ,ghey are not a good team, but if u set up with 2 at the back or 3 upto half way line ,1 ball over top there in,it was fuckin embarrassing

Uneasy feeling all week about this game. It was their cup final season this season and there was no way they were going to be meek. Only minor consolation is that it merely gets them 3 points.

None of this excuses our performance. But no team can lose so many defenders and expect to win. That’s not an excuse for attitude but it’s a factor in the performance
How is that a factor in having only one shot on goal for 90+ minutes. Let me calm myself down and repat, one shot on goal...out of seven attempts in total?!?!

The exact opposite of our performance against Newcastle midweek

I know the lads are tired, we’re missing players etc. That’s even more reason to set up in a way that gives us a chance. We did it away to Arsenal early in the season
We've gone from the best performance of the season to the worst in a few days - emotive because we lost to those plastic scum, but we're not shite.
Team selection cost us - although we aren't privy to all niggles and ailments that players have, it seemed a strange choice to start Lewis and Phil when the latter seems devoid of confidence. Haaland needs a reboot - been ineffective for a few weeks and is like playing with 10 men.

very bad game, as bad as it gets. 2-0 doesnt really describe how one sided it was. could have been 5-0. thanks Donnarumma and and the post-woodwork to avoid a real nightmare result. and the tight offsides lol.

worse is its Carrick, he came in on Tuesday, did few trainings with them and completely outfoxed Pep tactically. let us play our slow possession, sideways while they punish us with quick tackling, winning second balls, and some speed. and we looked surprised at all this while hardly unexpected. what were we expecting?

HT team talk again made us worse not better. expected a reaction after poor first half but 2nd half was levels worse.

We would never get a goal like their first, as we would have turned around and fucked about in our own half for a bit before going back to the Don. We need to mix it up a bit.
True, we start a counter attack, we stop and hold the ball up, wait for the opposition to get players back. The one and only time I recall any different was away to Arsenal. Ridiculous, things need to change with this, as does the pass, pass, pass we have returned to. Not one decent shot in anger today and how about a cross or two to a 6’5” centre forward, who by the way, has to show much more aggression than he did today against a 5’ 9” player who outmuscled him many times today.

We gave up 6 big chances. We also had both their fullbacks on yellows in the first half and generated nothing - I don't blame the wingers too much for that, as they were frequently outnumbered due to our FBs/system.

Every dog has it’s day

Keep the faith …

Spot on... We go again

We are not the finished article by anymeans and until the next summer transfer window we have to sort out the deadwood once and for all and go again..

That was a shambles from start to finish, we were completely dominated offered very little. I doubt we would have won even if Dalot had been rightly sent off.

If there’s a stat on the worst corner conversion rate in premier league history we must be rid up there! They’ve been utter wank since the joey baton ones!
