Ok, so after a couple of hours and a few beers I've had time to reflect. And i still think it's as diabolical performance as I did during the match.
Absolute wank.
No.. it’s cos we currently don’t have another striker
Marmoush is back tomorrow and Haaland needs to be benched for at least the next 3 games
So who would you have played at centre forward today given our only other option is still away at AFCON?Is it in Haaland's contract he has to play every game?
I can remember:I thought I watched all the match. Where were those seven shots by City? One header, I remember that is all.
Absolutely battered - should have been 5 or 6. This team is miles off it regardless of issues with the back 4.
Marmoush straight in for me.Poor tactics cost us again, high line at Utd is just Fookin stupid.
Playing a haaland who’s clearly carrying some injury is playing with 10 men
They wanted it more & better organised simples
Nobody, false 9 could not have worked any worseSo who would you have played at centre forward today given our only other option is still away at AFCON?
Put the red card aside - which we all know should have been one - we should be smashing them 11 v 11. So I wouldn’t count that as an excuse sorry.
It’s really unfortunate to say but the better team on the day won. It’s strange but I think United, having acquired a team of players based on individual talent, were more constrained by a tactical system (eg under Amorim and other managers) than they are as a team that’s just allowed to play individually. They looked like they were having fun, whilst we pinged the ball into the centre constantly to no one.
Never ever ever ever leave early on Derby Day. Even if you’re a usual early leaver, no matter if it’s 5-0 or 1-6, that’s the game you stay until after the players have been over after the game to know we’ve gone though it together and we’re still with them no matter how shit they’ve been.Disappointed in the blues who left early. I thought we were shite but you still stay and get behind the lads. Hope they don't get tickets in the away end again
We deserved nothing but if they applied the laws of the game occasionally in our games, it would helpWe will never know.
Should probably have been a red.
Irrelevant though because we never laid a glove on them before or after.
I don't think we can use the non red as any sort of excuse for that shitshow.
That was the Tracy one yes. Bit of an excuse there this today was wtf stuff.I can’t think of one that bad since the 5-0 in 1994-95.
The team thought we'd stroll it. Complacency of the highest order.Spoke to a Rag I know in work (decent lad) and he said the feeling for him and his mates was that City weren't up for it.
Can't argue that point.
Take fucking note of this .....been saying it for years on here.....all too many after every defeat make the same excuses....VAR, refs, commentators, cheats ad nauseum......On should Diogo Dalot have been sent off: "You could say that, you could say that red card, different game. Many, many situations happen. It is easy for me to come here and say it should be a red card. It is not about that, we will not grow up if that is the argument to win or lose a game. To do you have to do better and we didn't today."
