Put the red card aside - which we all know should have been one - we should be smashing them 11 v 11. So I wouldn’t count that as an excuse sorry.

It’s really unfortunate to say but the better team on the day won. It’s strange but I think United, having acquired a team of players based on individual talent, were more constrained by a tactical system (eg under Amorim and other managers) than they are as a team that’s just allowed to play individually. They looked like they were having fun, whilst we pinged the ball into the centre constantly to no one.

Starting to think Semenyo and Doku should have switched wings midway through the match. Left side had Ait Nouri coming on bombing forwards so Semenyo could enter the box, while Doku held width on the other.

Should just play a 235 like this. Lewis for Nunes could work like this if O Reilly is also helping midfield.

I want to see Foden get to play with Cherki again, feels rare lately. Reijnders here even works.

I want the wingers to rotate with their attacking midfielder primarily or potentially with their fullback, 316 doesn't allow this.

The others were probably blocked efforts.

We need a better midfield.

Rodri still coming back from a long term injury. Bernardo can only run so much.

But it's Foden that needs benching or shipping out and we can't put up with Doku having two good performances a season.

The team has become completely reliant on goals from Haaland.

Every other side plays low against United due to the speed they have on the counter. Everyone apart from us!

Never ever ever ever leave early on Derby Day. Even if you’re a usual early leaver, no matter if it’s 5-0 or 1-6, that’s the game you stay until after the players have been over after the game to know we’ve gone though it together and we’re still with them no matter how shit they’ve been.
