This is the least enthusiastic I've ever been about a City signing. His open gesture against the LGBTQ+ community really hit a nerve with me. I know there will be other City players who share his opinions, but none of them have made a public statement like he did.
 
Well he's a capable defender, and he appears delighted to have joined us , so he'll do for me 'cocker' and i wish him well ... and to get a 25 year old England international for that price has surprised every football fan in the country!

There's absolutely no guarantee that we would have won any battle for his signature come June when his contract expires, and he would have become a free agent.

Good luck to him. Not really seen enough of him to judge him so much but he's a good age and being English helps as well. Fingers crossed because Ake and Stones need to be out the door at the end of the season

Interesting Tackle map posted by BBC Football. I would like to see a comparison for other defenders but at face value it suggests a strong left side bias and also that he is a very progressive defender i.e., plays in attacking positions a lot.

Yes, but don’t forget he played in a 3/5 man defence at Palace so there’s more opportunity for him to attack.
 
welcome, cheap on fee, in return I bet salary and signing on fee we had to dig deep in our pockets tho. but this transfer will replace all of Akanji, Stones and Ake from summer we have to factor that in too and help us right away with our injury issues.

only issue can be likes of Rodri, Reijnders, Foden, Dias, Gvardiol, who I think are below this salary but much more recognized players or just as much as Guehi. their agents will come around soon.

I would say the very openly religious nuts in the squad don't have to be public about it to be fair

I don't agree with his stance either but I'm not going to be watching him in the hope he officiates a same sex marriage
