Why do folk suggest Kovacic has been in anyway important to us. He’s been injured most of the time he’s been at the club and when he’s played he’s been average at best and mainly shit. He played CM last year when we had the worst season performance wise in the last 10 years. He’s got an impressive trophy cabinet but for city he’s been crap

That’s complete nonsense. We saw this last season when Kovacic played there - the middle of the pitch was wide open because he kept drifting up the field with the ball. He’s a very good player, but that role needs discipline first and foremost, and that’s not his natural game. He's always played in a double Pivot throughout his career.

This season, Nico has been excellent, and the difference is obvious. With him in the side we look far more compact, controlled and secure through the middle. He holds his position, protects the defence, recycles the ball intelligently and keeps the team's structure intact.

O'Reilly? He's played one game there this season.

It won’t be long before their new novice manager gets sacked again and their main players start looking for success elsewhere, PSG already being linked to him. Another option is Fabian Ruiz. His contract runs until 2027, he’s 29, but if we can get him for free, why not?
