I'd like to think that our corner takers practice that much but somehow I doubt it. If they practiced that much then they couldn't be that bad.

One arm up, could be pudding, chips and gravy for tea. Two arms up, and it's fish, chips and mushy peas. Probably a signal for whoever goes to the shops after the game.

It's got fuck all to do with the delivery of the ball, that's for sure.
They should ask Declan Rice to give them some lessons seriously and Saka as well , 15 goals from set pieces in the PL and 24 all up compared to our miserly 7 , clearly the main reason why they are 7 points clear of us currently.

I was very keen on Rice when he became available and we should have thrown the kitchen sink albeit London factor might have persuaded him otherwise and he would have been a great foil for Rodri but it wasn't to be.

Hopefully Rodri will regain confidence and form but we obviously need a replacement if he returns to Spain and players especially at his age rarely comeback to past performance levels at his age with such an injury.

We haven't recruited well over the past 18 months to 2 years and it will interesting how many of them will be in our next title winning side or Chumps League winning side because the present squad even fully fit are not nearly up to the standard required even when Haaland and Foden are firing which they haven't been of late especially Foden.

O'Reilly's job was to provide width on the left, and RAN on the right.

There were no wingers, and Bernardo, Gonalez was out. I didn't expect RAN on the right but I am not that critical of it. I can see what Pep was trying to do.

Just accept the defeat. We started very weakly playing keep ball instead of going for the throat. We all know why we lost but thankfully very few blues are going to blame young players. They need more chances to put this right.

I will blame Pep when I think he is to blame but at the moment I think the team if fragile due to injuries / form. I don't blame Pep.
Be honest you will never blame Pep and hey that's fair enough. I think his glory days at City are done and have felt that way for some time now.

It’s absolutely mind-boggling that you can blame Pep for these defeats. Just look at the squad, it’s decimated with injuries. What can Pep do other than play inexperienced young players in the heart of defense. Ffs, we’re missing key players Kovacic, Nico G, Kagool, Marmoush that could give some of our important players a break.
Yes, tonight was poor, but they were playing at home on their artificial pitch which we never play on. Most of our top players are exhausted. It’s like some of you have never played the game before. Or truth be told you’re all moaning for the sake of moaning just because we lost. Typical miserable entitled city supporters. We’re just going through a rough patch. We’ll be back just need to get some players back.
If you coached a pub team and typically played with a high line what would you do if all of your defenders were injured?

Perhaps he could NOT play 2 young CHs on the halfway line with zero protection?
Perhaps he could get the ball forward quicker to our multi million pound attack?
Perhaps he could stop crying about tiredness! These are extremely well paid athletes, amazingly they are Professional Football players! If they cant play 2 games of Football a week, maybe they are in the wrong line of work!
Maybe, just maybe he could try setting the team up to suit the players available and stop making bloody excuses?!!

The FANS IN BLUE never gave in. Thank you fans. THEY fought to the end and for the first time ever I’m sorry I can’t be kind about the players on the pitch.
I’m sorry City players you have broken this fan. My support will never go away but you have cut me to the quick. I’ve defended you always but the last two games have been disappointing and difficult to defend.
Please bring back the fighting to the end spirit. It’s not the loss, crikey I’ve seen enough of them over the years, it was the lack of spirit.
I’m sorry. :-(

The system is boring and doesn’t work, we don’t have the players to carry it out, it was sussed out 18 months ago and nothing has changed. Sideways and backwards, slow build up, we wait for every team to get 10 behind the ball and then get counter attacked. Why the fuck have we paid money for Cherki, Marmoush, Haaland, Semenyo etc… for them to have no room to operate? We move around the box like chess pieces as we expect our fullbacks to be our creative players.

Easy to stop this happening but no. Alleyne and Khusanov left exposed time and again. 3-1 was lucky.

He needs to fucking sort it out because it’s going to happen again on Saturday and it’s just not good enough from a manager with his standing at the club and in the game.

Congratulations to Bodo on their FIRST EVER Champions league win.

Nobody is denying the personnel is depleted but it’s the suicidal tactics that nobody understands.

In what way? Are people not allowed to voice concerns? Yes we know we have been very very fortunate for what we have won and what we have achieved, but people are allowed to question the commitment of the players and the tactics of the manager, in the league last 4 3 draws 1 defeat, a spanking from a team that would struggle in league 1, but your right we should get a grip

We’ve just made two quality signings to back up some largely decent additions recently. However not eligible and key players are missing. The team that was out there last night was makeshift.

Second in the league, still in four comps, a trip to Wembley in sight.

A position that all fans apart from Arsenal would love to be in…

Last night, we had a left back at right back, a right back in midfield and a midfielder at left back. Ait-Nouri at right back clearly wasn't working, we could all see it. He just stands and watches it though and the first change we get is on 69 minutes when Marmoush comes on at (lucky to be) 3-1 down and a man down.

The players didn't play well but I'm not sure you've outlined the issues Pep created and don't think he is at all culpable? Everyone can see what he was trying to do - pushing up both FBs for width - but it doesn't mean it was a good idea. Mainly because it was going to leave us exposed on the counter...again.

Last year Khus and Nico played in the playoffs...
