Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

A professional 1st half performance. Wolves are hard to beat at the moment. We saw that in the 2nd half.

Having done the hard work before HT, the 2nd half performance was a bit worrying. Too much last ditch defending required, and barely threatened their goal.

Wolves were better when Foden and Haaland were on the pitch. That's a concern.
Para 3 yep sad but true

Refreshing performance from the attack first half, tonnes more energy. Second half boring but job done. Wolves are shite

Its all about the 3 points today. I thought we lurched into plod mode half way through second half, any coincidence that's when Haaland and Foden were on ? ?

Guehi will be great for nico and khus development.
Bernie a twat for the corners
Tiji an absolute fanny but a player is in there.
3 points and we move on
Fans said the same about Nunez and Gvardiol when they first arrived.

Reinders one of those that needs more time to settle into the pace and intensity of the PL.

Maybe Simon but neither bust a gut to impact on the game. Love the pair of them and I'm hoping their return to form is PDQ ;-)
Foden comes off 2nd best in every 50/50 these days and don't remember Haaland doing anything.

We needed a win and we got a win, but I'm not getting giddy after a 2-0 win against a team with 8 points from 23 games.
Let me put that into context. Forest in 17th are averaging a point a game. There's no reason to expect them to get significantly better or worse so Wolves are likely to need 38 points to stay up. That's 30 points required from 15 games, so Wolves would need to play as well as the current third place club to stand a chance of survival.
We beat a Championship side today, a Championship side complete with Championship chants: Yes it's a fucking library, and yes there's a fucking fire drill between 75 and 80 minutes every fucking game.

Pretty dire performance by City. Good job Wolves are rubbish.

I'd love to know what's happened to City's swift counter attacks from before Christmas? They've totally vanished. Slow turgid build ups for the most part today.

Still at least Nunes and Nico (O) are back from injury and Guéhi was really solid. So, we were finally non- porus at the back.

Those commenting upon Haaland's lack of involvement after coming on - he can't just go charging about after the ball, can he? Players do have instructions to follow and a team shape to maintain, remember.

Better but still not great.
We worked harder which is a start.
I thought we might draw or lose today cos I was expecting to be outworked going of recent performances.
So a much needed win and 3 points.
Slightly happier days.
