Next academy stars?

Do we have any decent right backs coming through?
Apart from defensive midfield, right back is a desperate need imo.

I think we have the best crop we've had in a while but not quite ready.
Brooklyn Nfonkyu in the eds converted from a winger is doing well, we also have young Dante Headley, well rated and I like what Jake Wain has to offer, very competitive making things happen type of style.

There is also Ezra Carrington, Matty Henderson Hall & Rhys Thomas all out with long standing injuries. Not sure how they compare with the three mentioned above. Rhys Thomas is very versatile. He can play all along the back four & defensive midfield.

All bought in again with promise of big salaries at 17. We are losing our identity in those age groups, recruitment on steroids. Manchester City not as Mancunian as it was. The group that won u18 nationals, FAYC & PL2 last year won’t be matched again for the Manc factor, and probably not for achievement. Full of boys from Junior academy and won everything with only a sprinkle of expensive recruits

I thought most lads were local enough , at least English , now that we can't sign any Europeans until they are 18.

7 of the 11 who started in the Youth Cup last week have been at City long term, and that doesn’t include Mfuni who was with the first team

Arsenal FAYC match day squad: Drake (Stevenage), tevenan (London academy), Miles (Southampton), Dunbar McDonald (Reading), Gorman (Leeds), Midwood (Sheff United), Parker (West Ham), whisker (Cardiff), Alvarado (?), Barret (Sheff U?), Oliver (Tottenham)

23/24 FAYC winners:
Alf Ruprecht (Hamburg), Mukasa (West Ham), Fapetu (Arsenal), Dunbar McDonald and Fletcher (Reading). The remainder at club since foundation phase.

I understand next batch of scholars even less foundation phase graduates. Somebody in current recruitment/hierachy like splashing the cash, or younger ages no longer producing?

I heard talk, recently, that a younger crop (U13, I think) were considered the best group that we have ever had. I have not seen any of their games though. Perhaps someone with some involvement with the younger teams can comment, though not about individuals.

How is this group panning out?
