Probably because not many teams win at City. Turkish teams tend not to travel well and their team is a combos players that used to be good an players that never were(Davidson Sanchez)

They are a tricky opponent but I expect us to win very comfortably in the end

On Sunday we were having conversations about us going to Spurs and Liverpool and winning and maybe winning the league - if we don’t win tomorrow, we will need to reevaluate what is possible this season

I’m confident. 4-0 City with a Haaland hattrick
 
Any tips for a good spot to watch City vs Galatasaray tomorrow in Barcelona? Staying Diagonal area, CocoVail Beer Hall seems handy with big screens. Trying to avoid hotel death so hoping for a proper place.

winning tomorrow isn't necessary to progress in the CL and we have better team options in the last 16 if we get through.

No, winning may not be necessary but come on, drawing at home to Galatasaray isn’t great

Also, it is preferable not to need a play off, no matter how much would expect us to progress.

11/1… that’s superb odds.


We will play basically the same line up that Utd dicked.

Galatasarays 11 looks pretty decent on paper. The Attack and mid looks more than good to me.

And Icardi. They've genuinely one of the most dangerous forward lines in Europe. Obviously hoping for a comfortable City win but some of the daftest odds I've ever seen.
 
I'd go 424, i.e play Haaland outside the box so there is space for him to run into and let the main threat come down the wings. Nico and O'Rielly should hold the middle and prevent breaks as much as possible.

If we lose it'll most likely be because of 2 things.
1. Unable to break down a stubborn and crowded defense made worse by us playing too far forward in a slow manner.
2. Being caught on the break because again everyone is pushed so high and the only space on the pitch is behind us.

We need some way to be a bigger threat and be less vulnerable. That's why I'd like to see Pep experiment with how Haaland is played.
 
Same system as Wolves. Foden and Marmoush as inside forwards (Foden taking up Semenyo's vacancy). Cherki in the 10. Aït-Nouri and Nunes providing width with a relatively compact midfield 3 (with O'Reilly taking Reijnders place).
