45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

He is going to be an immense player for our club , disgusting that media always refer to his debut against Chelsea when he is discussed , one bad game and he has been smeared as not good enough , since his debut he has hardly put a foot wrong , and arguably our best out and out defender , no one beats him for pace and the timing of his tackles superb.
A future of Khusanov and Guehi at centre back and you would be hard pressed to find a better pair in the Premier league or europe.

Excellent game, but I wish he would remove one thing from his game…the barging-shoulder charging.

In today’s game, esp in Europe, a good shoulder charge, followed by the flop of the attacker, is a dangerous gambit. He did it one on one at the back, just outside the box, and it didn’t come off because it was glancing blow, but he had the pace to roast the guy, so make the BETTER decision.

He’s young, learning, and it was probably just fine growing up, but we’ve all seen how free kicks and corners are changing football.

Bar that, he’s done a fantastic job since being drafted to cover for injuries. Long may it continue.

I think it will be Guehi and Dias tbh once Dias is back, but Khusa is quality and is knocking on the door

Was quality last night, if he keeps playing like this when called upon Pep will have some difficult decisions to make.

He's young and still learning. In the first 15 minutes last night Galatasaray were funnelling to him and instead of knocking it long or at least longer, he was consistently passing to Nunes, often on to his left foot and even when he had a man far too close to receive. It was the safe outlet for Khusanov but it was the more dangerous outlet for the team, and Guardiola let him know. That's the kind of smarts that only comes with game time and experience, however.

This is really reaching at this point.
