Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It’s difficult to stay positive when the same issues resurface every week. The moment a team applies sustained pressure, we seem to fold. There’s no clear identity, no recognisable style of play. We look like a side that looks unsure of itself. Everything feels overly safe and cautious, stripped of ambition and creativity. It’s dull to watch.

And then the club/supporters acts surprised when midweek Champions League attendances start to dip.

Literally making rules up.
I hate corners these days any fouls like what goes on in box would be a free kick anywhere else. It's bizarre.

It’s literally been in the rules forever, I’m not sure how people don’t know that.

It should have been a retaken corner.

I'm actually envious when I watch other teams, making diagonal runs, swapping positions, really fluid and almost impossible to mark.
We attack in straight lines, everybody in his clearly-defined little box or channel. I bet the other coaches can't believe their luck - or the plaudits that continue to come Pep's way.
I said similar over a year ago and was shouted down with 'fanny-wipe - wait for the rebuild' or similar.

Still waiting...

We look like a team that is bored shitless
Correct.

I'm saying it months now, these players aren't playing for their manager, it's not fucking rocket science.

You'll stills get people on here that don't like anything bad said about Pep...We all fucking love Pep, there comes a time in football or life in general when it's just time to part ways.

This ship has sailed. The players need a fresh face with new ideas and get the fire in their bellies back again.

I'm as pissed off with Pep and his strange and, late substitutions as anyone, but would this squad actually show some steel if we had a different manager?

Piss poor. Ineffective. No plan b whnen its not working with Haaland up top
Haaland is probably the best in the world 1 v 1 running onto the ball over the top - except he was heavy footed today..needed a deft touch.. He only got that chance because Spurs weren't bothered in first half and defended so badly...to high up, no pressure on the ball.. Haaland in open play is pretty dire really - he's scored a lot of pens, and we feed him non stop first half of the season - hence no goals elsewhere. Im sure Pep has never been that keen on a number 9...always more comfortable with floating midfielders arriving late in the box... im sure in his book when he retires he might allude to this....I like Haaland as a fella though, but your right the look is grating when he's having a laugh when we need to win... tbf even if we won today - were a million miles behind an organised and fit Arsenal...who are dull but very efficient

They are saying he is getting foul but because it's City we have to make some shit up to not give the right decision

We have been on the end of some terrible decisions on not only officials but the clowns that run VAR

What a bunch of puff pastry pansies our players are. No fight whatsoever. Our hardest player is our smallest, Bernardo. Rodri is so far off it. He can’t run and he’s too scared to put a tackle in. Haaland laughing with their defender made my blood boil. Who gives a fuck when you’re on half a mill a week? In my day I would’ve fucking roasted him for that. Shocking second half performance. How many times has that happened this season? If it was up to me I wouldn’t pay them.

In all seriousness, Haaland can feck off. An absolutely lazy bastard who offers nothing. He doesn't chase anything nor create anything for himself or anyone else.
He worked hard today. Hit a bit of poor form but still the greatest goalscorer the Prem has ever seen.
