Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It’s literally been in the rules forever, I’m not sure how people don’t know that.

It should have been a retaken corner.
Several years ago a big fuss was made pre-season that the refs were going to get tough with all the mugging that goes on at corners.
We thought there'd be games finishing 9-against-9 for a couple of weeks, then the players would just have to adapt and play by the rules.
I don't know what happened to that directive, but it's ridiculous - certainly worse than it's ever been.
Forward lines may as well just line up 20 yards out, like a hockey short-corner.

Happy we got a point…and in all honesty I might have taken that before a ball was kicked.

Definitely issues with a few of our players/performances. I do wonder whether some of them are coasting to the WC finals…trying not to pick up injuries. Haaland a prime example.

Pep has a bit of a job on his hands to turn things around and I’m not sure he can do it successfully…being honest….just seems too many issues, from the style he wants to play vs the players he has, to the desire to do what it takes (from the players), go beyond fatigue, some of them have won multiple titles already and probably not too bothered about pushing on and winning more..

Anyway, upwards blues.

Bang on and the worst thing is out of what you're wrote (which is spot on) is that it was so entirely predictable, just like other games.
To be honest im sick and tired of the mental weakness shown.

Pep must be leaving because this sort of shit doesn't happen with a hungry Pep
I would like to see the club come out and say Pep will leave in the summer and get this shit over with

Enough of the fucking revisionism that we weren't good in the first half. Yes we were. One of our best performances of the season, really comfortable with the ball, pressing high, only negative was not scoring more than 2. The issue was the second half and particularly, the response to their first goal.

I think something is happening off the pitch, it's not a happy camp. Body language all round looks poor and something is definitely amiss with these performances at utd, Bodo and now Spurs where we could've lost by a lot more in each game, we deserved to lose today

If it’s any consolation (which it won’t be), twas an absolutely brilliant afternoon at the Etihad today (even with the empty seats …) which saw our women smash Chelsea to open up a 12 point lead over them and 11 points over united.

Really hope we can get that long overdue title heading our way this season :-)
No it’s no consolation

Wrong thread

They are saying he is getting foul but because it's City we have to make some shit up to not give the right decision

We have been on the end of some terrible decisions on not only officials but the clowns that run VAR
Im not normally one for conspiracy theories, but i have always said that VAR and Pundits ca really dictate how the paymasters (TV Companies) want the games to pan out, and who they need to give a bit a kicking to..and its us of course... we should have just done the interest free loan thing and bent the rules that way like the rest! ... typical City eh

Teams give us too much respect first half cos they are thinking this is City we're playing here let's just hang in there. Then they realize at half time this City team isn't the same anymore, they change tactics, play with more intensity and attack us, and we get done over time and time again. So many times last two seasons this has happened and we can't handle it.

We have bought a full team in the past 18 months.
And very few of them (and the ones bought in the previous couple of windows) are capable of playing well more than once a month on average.
We need players who can turn it on nine times out of ten; that's how we managed 100 points, two trebles and four in a row, and we just don't have those players.

The foul continued after the ball was played in.

I’d need to watch it again to see that, but it doesn’t matter, it still should be a retaken corner.

It’s not the same as a foul that happens outside the box that continues into the box.

Sounds like Peps going ballistic about the goal.
And he’s right it was an appalling decision but that is just a distraction from his own poor ability to coach this team properly. We came out the second half arrogant and unprepared from what everyone knew would be a better Spurs performance.

If we are winning at half time this season our tactics seem to be one solely of trying to make a game sterile.

There seems to be no attempt to push teams back and score more goals. The effect of it seems to be that the players are almost in a trance.

This has to be the players playing to the manager’s instructions as it is happening so often.

In all seriousness, the whole club is flat trying to change so many players. If this wasn’t pep, fans would be looking the manager sacked.

The attitude is all wrong. Need to own that first and foremost. Who is gonna come out and apologise today?

Any refunds?

Khaldoon to pep to the players. The edge is gone. That extra 1% is missing in games. We look and play awful. Some good moments now and again. Overall, major questions need asked as to why we have lost that competitive edge.

We have won it all and made huge commercial strides. The pig is too fat now to go again. That what it feels like.
I'm not sure even if it's wasn't Pep we would be asking to sack a manager who has us second in the league and still in every cup competition in Feb. Do you really think we would or are you just talking bollocks to be controversial??
