Absolutely we have. We have been pretty poor for nearly 2 years.
The refs this season though have given us far too many reasons to question their integrity, which is what I'm discussing. I don't think it's always been this bad but this year? We can't be just unlucky all the time when getting the decisions we do.

You can tell the refs are having an impact on our players. Not just the blatantly wrong decisions which seem to be every week now, but the lack of protection for our players as well.

We've got to rise above it, but we shouldnt have to.

Clearest example Phil Foden thru on goal Newcastle away..defender attacks him with a studs up challenge.
No Red card
No yellow card
No penalty
No talking to the defender ie next time your booked

Actually when teams further down the table play City, their fans express their worries that officials heavily favour city and other big clubs. Yes; they put us in the category of big clubs that get decisions against their side.

We will refute those claims, just like fans of clubs we accuse of getting favours do.

So who is right?

It doesn’t have to be a conspiracy though, just unconscious bias. They all meet up and chat about teams, players and managers, so it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that they’re refereeing games and/or teams differently.

Mind you, as a team, we’re also soft as shit and remarkably easy to bully.
We rarely win a challenge, we never seem to commit a bad tackle and, when one of ours gets a nasty challenge against them, the rest of the players are nowhere to be seen.
I’m specifically referencing the 2 challenges on Doku (rags and wolves) and Khusanov getting pushed into the advertising hoardings by Delap. No city player anywhere to be seen, which would have been unthinkable in teams gone by…

I suspect one of the reasons teams at the bottom think we might be favoured by the refs is because every shocking decision against us is either totally ignored or forgotten about within minutes.

Every decision going our way is debated, and highlighted.

Its how the media work. Outrage against City sells papers and clicks. Sympathy for City doesnt. And the vast majority of football supporters believe what the media want them to believe.

I challenge any of those to look at the most contentious decisions that jave gone against us in the past few weeks and still say we're being favoured by the refs.
 
We need to make sure the players start saluting magpies, don't break any mirrors or walk under any ladders. Maybe our luck will change.

It's copiium if it happens every now and then. We are past that point this season but I sure ain't getting into it with you, haven't the time nor inclination to be lectured that we are all just imagining what we see on an almost weekly basis.

Nothing wrong with having a winning mentality.....if you doubt me listen to the words of the best manager that this club has ever had and probably the best manager the world has ever seen.

You can question refs decisions as being right or wrong...thats fair enough but humans make mistakes and that is part of the game but the predictability of the fans on here and everywhere else for other clubs as well making the same shit noises about VAR/refs etc is fucking boring and that it favours certain teams over others (literally every fan of every fucking club says the same thing - (they all cant be right!)....

Fucking crying EVERY WEEK even before the game about decisions/refs - its pathetic and shows a weak mentality.

And even if there is a case for it being right you can do fuck all about it.....all you can do is like Pep says...win inspite of it.

The performance was shit today and have been medicore all season by our more recent standards. We deserve to be where we are and we will deserve what we get at the end of the season - if we win it, we deserve to, if we dont deserve to we wont.

Do you think Rodri was lucky to stay on the pitch today - I think he was - he could easily have had two yellows (the second would have been soft but they get given plenty of times)...thats why he was taken off as Pep and the coaching staff recognised this and hauled him off before it happnened....was the ref being biased then when he didnt book Rodri a second time????

Likewise, I don’t have the inclination to have a back and forth about refs being bent because you’re emotional.
