Is the league, for want of a better word, ‘bent’?

I hate people deliberately misunderstanding.

It’s not that matches and decisions are “fixed” and made to happen, it’s that the people who can influence decisions do in a way that suits their agenda.

It’s not going to be United getting a penalty whenever they need… bad example… It’s not going to be every single city goal is disallowed.
It’s going be small decision like not booking key players who are already on a booking, pulling a team on advantage back for a free kick despite the team being through (remember that one?) a mistakenly given offside, booking one team for challenges the other are getting away with etc etc.

The corruption comes as making decision that give the best chance of a desired outcome happening, not dastardly men twiddling their mustache and sending players off for nothing!

I genuinely think they are manipulating VAR and officiating to suit what they want. The hatred of City is obvious to see and they probably think we have had an advantage with the spending over the years and the charges laid against us. Whether it is a conspiracy or not I don't know but subconsciously decisions are getting favoured against us its obvious to see.

Add into that the former head of the Premier League talking of a plan to have a different winner every few years. How might that be achieved?
If you mean Scudamore, he said he a new club in the PL trophy every 6 seasons following leicesters win. If you go back 6 seasons to the start of the 19/20 one, Liverpool’s name appears two times. Ours four. Oh, one of theirs is asterisked, or at least it should be.

The players and the manager have to have something to rally against, it is this siege mentality that works so well for successful clubs down the years. And you can chose to believe what you want. Whatever gets you through the night. But you cannot ignore what you see with your own eyes. Yes, you can point out decisions that don't go your way, but they only get mentioned when the team doesn't get the 3 points. If City win that game yesterday, which they should have, nobody even mentions the Solanke goal. Spurs were there for the taking, but for some reason the players didn't move out of second gear. There was no reaction when Spurs came back into it. You can't blame that on VAR. They didn't lose the derby because Dalot stayed on the pitch. They lost from giving a spineless performance over the 90 odd minutes. And it was the same in Bodo. Fix the problems on the pitch and the rest will even itself out.
We beat wolves yet we still complain about the non penalty..it's injustice whether we win lose or draw

Here's the thing...

All of you that think that the P/L is bent, are no different at all, from those in the USA, who think that Donald Trump won the 2020 election.

There's zero evidence that Trump won in 2020 and zero that the P/L is currently "bent".

That said, P/L officiating is fucking awful ATM. It'll be massively improved in the next 5 or so years, IMO, as AI makes initial rulings with increasingly minimal oversight from humans.
I think you deserve Trump as your leader

Thats how I see it. Its not about brown envelopes.

I have to believe it isn’t in order to carry on watching it,as I have done for over 50 years.
100% agree.

On the other hand, VAR, which was supposed to improve the quality of decision making, is a fucking disaster. It's currently so bad that it only stokes the flames of the conspiracy nut jobs.

And yet - AI is easily capable of referring games without human involvement - right now. And AI is becoming more and more reliant on decisions.

At any rate - 5 to 10 years from now - AI will take over refereeing - the same exact AI making the same exact decisions in every match. At which point, matches will be absolutely fair, free from bias/corruption, intended or not.

Even utd fans on their forum are calling out the non-sensical decisions against us.

And AI taking over judgment of fouls and handballs..... Whatever.

Yes.

City is also shit.

We won despite the clear manipulation of rules and injuries.

Unfortunately, changing a dominant team has given the powers that be a perfect opportunity to make sure we get fuck all in most games. Apply the rules to a higher standard. It’s every week now and no one gives a shit. Probably a bargaining chip to get city to settle 115.
We’re not shit! We’re 2nd, one fit in a cup final, and through automatically in the champs league. That’s hardly a shit team ffs. We’re just not as good as we were, and never will be, nor will anyone else.
As for the original question, it’s all fine very dodgy since the Dippers decision in our favour, and the following uproar afterwards. Very suspicious

I've a feeling when Pep leaves, he'll speak out.

Says it all. The fact some of our fans cant understand how corruption can exist is an anathema against our own club. Listen to the frustration in his voice, it must really be soul destroying to know your hard work can be undone by Pgmol. They must turn that anger into fire though.

You're arguing for exactly what I've been stating.

There's no conspiracy against us or any other side... it's that referring sucks.

AI will fix this in 5 to 10 years - perhaps sooner.

Look at how the rags were reffed yesterday with var giving a free kick outside the box after a penalty decision dismissed. That is a corner/goal kick for most teams. The offside microscope deemed offside for Fulham, we didn’t see any lines yesterday.
I get we are not playing well but decisions affect games. Foul given yesterday on Guehi and the game pans out differently imo.
glad someone else picked up on it, United were given a penalty the ball went out of play, VAR looked and said it wasn't a penalty without ref going over to monitor, ref said it was a free kick instead, VAR has never been involved in giving free kicks unless it was a potential red card check and like you have said every time this has happened previously a goal kick or corner would be given but they gave United a free kick
