Is the league, for want of a better word, ‘bent’?

As Prestwich Blue has alluded to it goes on.
Also look at other countries esp Italy.
Tv pundits keep toeing the party line as they know it keeps the money coming in……shareholders are no different.
Why do ex refs sign ngo’s ?
TV pundits and journalists want the red cartel to sweep up every trophy cos it increases viewing figures and sells newspapers

Spurs first goal does make you wonder what’s going on.

But no I don’t think it’s bent. They are just not very good at their jobs the people using VAR.

I am more annoyed at our second half habit of sitting back and allowing teams to come on to us.
The BEST way to hide corruption is to pretend you're just shit at your job.

Fans of other clubs will, and can pull up such examples. We would call bollocks to them as they’re not fir ir against us.

Thats how it works. Nobody is right, unless it’s your club and you think you are bang to rights in your analysis. Football eh?
I’m pretty sure that no fan of any club could say that a handball outside the area (of approximately 2 foot) by a goalkeeper in a cup final is a good example of their team being shafted.

I don’t think it’s actually possible to be so bad at their jobs that they can’t see Solanke kick Guehi though.

No, but they will probably say an example of what we’ve been benefited from is a clear sign, to them, that we are ref’d beneficially.

There’s no escaping it.

Not read the thread, but just going off thread title it's a no. We like to think it is but that's because we're utter shite and we're looking for a get out clause.

The league isn't bent, we're wank. And a massively boring team to watch.

They can’t be certain we won’t keep doing it, so they have to stop us any way they can. Like someone else posted. Arsenal this season, Rags next, Dippers season after. We might be allowed to win it again in 2029
Deluded.
So what you’re saying is that when we won 4 in a row, they let us do it - even though they hate us?

They’ve obviously not seen us play this season. :-)

They want to stop us doing it again
I’m genuinely not sure if I’m turning into a scouser but to me if feels like football as a sport is against City at the moment. The Premier League are trying to essentially destroy the club with charges that will do just that. The officials seem incredibly biased against us at the moment. And the worst of the lot is pundits and the media, that are just vicious towards us.

I’m a season ticket holder at City and hate Man Utd with a passion, but even I wouldn’t call their players “losers” if I were to write something in public, yet Oliver Holt has today about Rodri. I wouldn’t warp the truth to try and stain their name if they’d just been proven not guilty in a serious hearing, yet many of our journalists in Britain did about us. I wouldn’t accuse all Man Utd fans of not showing respect to Colin Bell when he died, because a handful of idiot teenagers didn’t, yet that’s what Ian Herbert did about us. I wouldn’t describe an entire fanbase as “rats” for supporting their club against serious allegations, yet Syed did about us.

And where does all this vitriol in the media boil over to? Could that be part of the reason we get decisions against us? The media on our case so heavily that officials are becoming influenced by it? Called “cheats” often enough they are levelling the playing field, even subconsciously?

I know I sound like a scouser but my eyes and ears don’t deceive me I don’t think.

Rodri bring sent off would have had an affect on the game...go back and look at his challenges...anyone that knows anything about football will see that both could and have in the past been given as yellows.

Pep has clearly said we can't blame refs for results...does he want consistant refereeing...yes..we all do but that ain't happening while you have humans involved in any part of the process ...so agsin its a waste of oxygen ftom anyone to keep crying about it.

The only thing that Pep and the players can affect is their own performances.

You lot keep crying and whinging about decisions every week if you want...see where it gets you...if rodri ( like he has) or the other players keep doing it then we are done....they won't get better and we deserve to not win anything ....they should be looking at the ONLY thing they can change...that is their shit performances.

We deserved that result yesterday......end of....just like many of our poor results this season...

Some people just can't admit it and want to find any excuse
But this is not bad referring only. Sure, the refs have missed really obvious stuff but looking at incidents only once in real time you might conclude they've just made a mistake. The point is how can VAR miss things with multiple replays and then produce bullshit excuses?
That's the question. Furthermore, how do the rags and dippers have the same sort of stuff in their favour? It's all to keep an agenda going and the money coming in

Rodri isn’t a loser, but he definitely is a bad loser. Remember his invterview after Scotland beat Spain?

There’s no escaping the fact that no other team has had such an outrageous decision given against them in a cup final. And, you can add the Grealish handball to the list.
I understand your stance pal, but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade.

Said fans of every club. It isn’t a stance, it’s how it is from fans’ perspective the world over.

Fair enough. Fans will be fans. In my opinion, as a fan, I think we’re being shafted big time.
I think we as City fans have more examples of very debatable decisions against us than most other clubs though.

There’s no reason to tarnish somebody to further a cause. Show me any top class sportsperson who isn’t a bad loser. That’s what gets them to the top, understanding where they’ve gone wrong and working even harder to rectify it.

Rodri’s been an absolute star for us, so glad that he brought this up, even if the club knew there would be a backlash from the media as they close ranks and protect the product that is funding their lifestyle.
