Ok, so as far as I can understand after watching MotD, "we" don't mind the VAR re-refereeing the game to give a throw in that the on-field referee missed 20seconds before a goal, but "we" also don't want the VAR re-refereeing the game to give a foul that resulted in a goal; oh, and all the penalties that have been given for a defender kicking through an attacker were wrongly given because "we" want common sense decisions such as an attacker kicking through a defender in order to score a goal.

Phew, I'm so glad they've cleared up what "we" all want.

Remind me again, how much per year is it that they want me to pay them to lie to me in this manner?

VAR has killed enjoyment in football. If it didn't exist that goal would have stood. We've probably had similar situations.

I've always wondered how the VAR panel decide the precise moment that the ball leaves the player's head/foot/shoulder etc.

It could be a matter of milliseconds where the player's big toe crosses the line. It's a shit system and I can only hope that decisions like that will get rid of it in the long term.

Allegedly the semi automatic offside system “suggests” a point when the ball is played. It’s up to the VAR team to decide if they want to use the suggestion or not. Hence it’s open to manipulation.

I’d say probably not myself.With var,they tend to get the uncomplicated offside calls correct,scrutinised to the millimetre sometimes.That Newcastle goal wasn’t even close,then they take an age to come up with an image that shows Dias in the air?!Is it any wonder I’m f’kin paranoid!?As for the correct point of contact question,isn’t that just another opportunity to flick through the frames,then decide which still justifies their decision and preferred outcome?I do wonder myself…..

Correct the goal pre VAR stands and despite how bad Corporal Jones was I can’t criticise him for it that’s down to Gillet on VAR

Semi automatic offside uses up to 30 cameras running at 100 f/s the software suggests to VAR the kick point. VAR examines it and confirms or not, they can overwrite the KP just like they did for Newcastle’s goal. Which they for certain as the 3D image, generated from the camera images at the chosen KP, shows Dias jumping which he wasnt when Woltermarde head the ball

Venting your spleen rarely achieves anything unfortunately. It may make you feel better, but often taking stock and reacting in a more controlled and strategic manner is far better, especially in work or business (which it is in this case).
