Media discussion - 2025/26

I have always enjoyed your posts PB. They have been very informative over the last 3 years in regard to the 115 charges we face. As a female I take offense at your "should stick to ironing" comment, it's extremely sexist and doesnt reflect well on you.
All,

As PB has stated, he has been a friend of mine (Rachel’s) for years hence the joke. BTW im actually shit at ironing!

I am definitely not as one poster queried ITK, I (Rachel) was simply expressing an opinion that the club will more than likely have a successor secured for when Pep decides to leave. I know nothing, simply an opinion….that the BBC then make clickbait of. I haven’t got a problem with that, just a point of view never stated for one minute it was fact and hoping those reading/watching/listening recognise that

Now ^ ^ that ^ ^ is a speech!

And some idiot at the end says... "Just to bring it back to football"?
Didn't he get it? Did he just think it was a rant or something?!?

And imagine having the audacity to attempt to tell possibly the world's best football manager that he doesn't know or understand the rules, with an air of f*****g superiority, when you're a simple propaganda writing sports journalist who pens bile and hatred for a living, whilst attempting to get a Balon D'Or winning athlete banned for giving an opinion.
That's next level arrogance from a bloke who is clearly a very classy guy.

The speech was wasted on him. Hope some of the other's maybe connected some of the dots in it.

If his team talks are like that I think we go to the distant foreign lands that mourn chickens and we smash their back doors in! If the ref's allow it.

Your comments:

claiming Man City are top of the corruption league is clearly defamatory

That last paragraph is beyond ridiculous. In the context of net spend why the fuck does it matter if you spend in January of July. Bizarre comment and so tedious. And it’s not an argument as the BBC say, it’s a fact.
The only equation that matters is Net spend divided by trophies won in that time period.
City miles ahead.
Red mard arses not even in the same league.
Simple really.

You don’t have to click on the link to the article if you don’t want to, which started off being fair and continued to be fair until the snidey last paragraph below.

You can see why Guardiola would feel aggrieved.

Over the last five and 10 years his team have consistently not been close to the top of the net spend table.

But when you are the only top club to be spending serious money in the January transfer window, it is a tough argument to win.

It’s not bad but as you say it’s also weird last comment when Pep has said over the last 5 years & when clubs like Liverpool & Chelsea have broke record transfers windows.

I’d also question the analysis of sales of academy players without mentioning sales of Alvarez is to control the narrative.

Maybe a balanced article would have mentioned how many of the treble winning team needed replacing & to do that with a net spend of City is fucking remarkable.

see Richards happy that Guheti cant play the final. Given explaining how stupid the rules are but smug Richards just sat saying rules are rules, fuckin arsenal fan

It's a really tough argument to win, especially when you ignore the facts

It's just a poor piece of analysis. Good enough for the BBC though, I suppose.

He should stick to being a PGMOL shill on his VAR articles. He is no financial analyst, that's for sure. And wtf is an actual "Football Issues Correspondent"?
