It's a difficult read (think Jonathan Swift meets Vladimir Nabokov) It has dark themes as Meades describes life mainly in Portsmouth but also in other parts of the world as the four children (each by a separate mother) of Guy Vallender make their way through a very depraved world indeed!Don’t know that I so I’ll have a look. Used to read his restaurant reviews in the Sunday Times before AA Gill. Seen a few documentaries he fronted ages ago. A very incisive and funny bloke.
Meades does offer some useful advice to readers who pick up his tale:
"After using this book please wash your hands. Thank you."
Could also be applicable for us Blues when reading the shill media's output when covering the Red Cartel, especially the Red Filth across town..
