If Bernardo was touch-and-go for Liverpool and then did 90 mins, he should probably be rested for this? Even with Salford at the weekend, we need to protect him if he's carrying something.

Start Nico G with Rodri and reijnders.

Donnarumma
Nunes Dias Guehi Ait-Nouri
Gonzalez O'Reilly
Bernardo Cherki Marmoush
Haaland

Can't go. Gutted I'm gonna be missing it. Will try to watch from where I am. Come on boys, keep it up.

This game would of been flat if we'd lost / drawn yesterday, but that win has really ramped this game up. Hopefully its packed and the crowd are well up for it. Team should be buzzing now after yesterday and will want to really kick on.

Pep will play a full team and rest on Saturday.

We only play one game a week for two weeks after this Fulham game so plenty of rest in between.

Can see Pep giving the lads 3 or 4 days away on holiday after Salford.

I hope he starts with 11 players :) but it's not clear that playing the same 11 from Liverpool or close to that would be the best option here.

Gonzalez, Reijnders and Cherki are good options to start in that game, Dias too. Pep will make 4-5 changes.

Given that many clubs at this stage tend to enjoy a whole week to prepare before facing us, Fulham are a little unfortunate, as this season they've had to meet us twice in midweeks. The first time they only had three days to prepare, coming off the back of a morale-boosting win at Tottenham. This time, they do have that one extra day, but they're also coming off the back of a morale-sapping loss to Everton. The one thing that does stand in their favour, though, is that they appear to be absolutely hopeless at defending corners...

Makes this one a little more significant on Wednesday and am looking forward to it. Maybe we can boost our GD stat coming off the back of that win yesterday.

vs Fulham:
----------------------Donnarumma
--------------Dias---------------------Guéhi
--Nunes----------------------------------------Aït-Nouri
------------------Rodri----------Bernardo
---------Cherki----------------------------Foden
----------------Semenyo-------Haaland

vs Salford:
--------------------------Trafford
-----------Khusanov-----------------Alleyne
--Lewis--------------------------------------------Aké
------------------Nico------------O'Reilly
---------McAidoo--------------------------Reijnders
----------------Semenyo-------Marmoush
I'm not sure if Khusanov will be playing, dependent on that head injury analysis.
Initial media reports say he may have to take part in an ongoing assessment which normally takes 6 to 10 days.

This is the team that played them last time and won.
But I don't want to watch a basketball game again!

This match only settled down the moment Cherki entered the game

I might have only two dilemmas for this match: Marmoush or Cherki, and Ait-Nouri or O'Riley.(LB)
Maybe resting Rodri should be avoided, as he can be rested against Stockport.

Reijnders should definitely not be in the starting 11; although he was good away against Fulham, we lost every duel in the midfield there
Any news on Doku?

Not sure if there is anything controversial in there, maybe the Liverpool 2-2 where I think Milner should have walked but not unusual at Anfield. Obviously United's pen in the Final but I think VAR gave that didn't they?

Not sure if he's shafted us on VAR or not.
He's not so much biased as clueless. Always looks lost out there.

It
I think Reijnders, Cherki and Foden are likely to start, especially Reijnders and Cherki. Gonzalez will start.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Pep starts without Haaland like vs Newcastle.

Something like:

Donna

Nunes
Dias
Guehi
RAN

Gonzalez
NOR
Reijnders

Cherki
Semenyo
Marmoush

Great options on the bench to refresh the team in the 2nd half and push for more goals.

Foden might start instead of NOR but that could be a bit risky. Guess 3 days are enough for a 20 yo to recover enough to play 60-70 minutes.
it’s a sign of how far NOR had come that he might be rested vs Salford
