Ok, instead of looking at those other matches I mentioned as the start of a sequence, go back another half-a-dozen games and start there - we were winning, but playing no better.

The same posters who are still concerned after tonight were also anxious during that run, because they could see points being dropped if issues weren't addressed (as points were dropped against Sunderland, Chelsea, Brighton, United and Spurs).

A case of looking at the bigger picture, thinking of tougher battles ahead, home and abroad.

After we beat West Ham 3-0, did you call Pep a c*nt for cancelling the players' leave? I mean, we'd won, why couldn't he just enjoy it, do you think?

Fuck me. That second half was arguably the worst I’ve seen us going forward. And that’s saying something. Defending and game management was good, though.

Brilliant first half. Blew them away. City of old.
 
Did the job in the first half with a very impressive performance. That midfield of Rodri, Bernardo and NOR really gelled tonight, Whilst the second half was nothing special, I think there were a lot of tired legs from Sunday
 
Agree with most on here suprise, surprise. Not understanding our second half plan? It seemed like game management for 45 mins. Not entertaining at all. Not the City way.

Every sentence spot on. One slight amendment if you dont mind......we never actually went forward in the second half.

Jesus fucking wept. How entitled? My boss who’s a neutral text me at half time saying “your men are a joy to watch”.

We had the game won and went on autopilot. Had we conceded they’d have probably stepped it up.
 
Fantastic first half. Second half wasn't so great, but we now have a defence who are stable enough to keep the opposition out. Any of us would have taken 3-0 before the game. Just need to keep on winning football matches.

Good performance, first half obvs, and we knocked it around confidently in segments of second half, 20+ passes(?) but without looking dangerous last third. So those possession pieces almost looked like our great days, without having much hope of improving our goal diff. Happy to take it, of course, and hope the mighty Bees (Manc connection) do something against the goons tmw...
 
Good solid 1st half with tenacity, desire and great attitude all round. Everyone seemed on their game with the spotlight once again shining on Bernado (Peter Pan) Silva.
Cue the habitual mental block of 2nd halves as we huffed and puffed , lacking of any game plan or understanding or creativity . Banging the ball up to Semenyo seemed the orders from above but he is poor at holding the ball up and other than the scruffy goal isn’t offering as much as I thought he would.
A decent win though and i’ll be sticking a fair few pins in an Arsenal voodoo doll.

It’s actually been the City and pep way for a long time. We just aren’t as good at it as we used to be.

Great first half.
Second half I wasn’t as annoyed as some cos I think the 3-0 score line played a part.
A few silly mistakes though, that needs knocking on the head.
What did annoy me though was the the absolute **** sat somewhere behind me.

“Get off the pitch you useless Stockpot bastard”
Some of our fanbase are absolute cunts and don’t deserve success.

Last season's shot stopping from Ederson was disgraceful. I am leaning towards the head gone part of your argument.
 
Can we stop Pep one going into the changing room at half time?!? What the actual fuck does he say that is consistently making the team so bad for the second half?! Pissing me off to be honest
