Will we win the league this season? No

Does anyone think Pep is telling the team to go crazy intensity first half and letting them ease off second half for tactical reasons?

I think Villa will be safe (top 5) by then.

Also, Europa League Final is 4 days before it and they'll probably make that.

Villa's final week could be:
17th May - Liverpool (H)
20th May - Europa League Final
24th May - City (A)

They'll want the City (A) game to mean nothing.

There's definitely a motivation to come out fast and kill the game.

I also think players like Rodri aren't fully fit yet and he is so important to the way we play. Think he's only got 45mins in his legs as it stands.

There are no easy games in the prem especially when it comes to the pointy end of the season.

Well we play them so it’s in our hands to make it that they will only need to lose 1
 
Those dropped points against utter shite make me mad. The title would have been in our hands if we didn’t drop points at the start of this year.

If Villa win the Europa league and mathematically can’t win the title then where ever they sit in the league table won’t worry them because champions league football will be secured and all of their players will be hungover and minds on the beach.

Plus I can’t imagine Emery would be too keen seeing Arsenal win the title after the way they treated him. That match has the potential to be one of the easiest of the season if things play out that way.

And if the recent years have shown us anything....We are the best chasers in and they've been the biggest bottlers when it's on the home straight.

The one asterisk is simply that we aren't as consistent as two or three years back but we have players coming back, Rodri getting better etc.

If we can get something together for the next few months, i think we can make them wobble.

They know more than anyone that you do not want Pep and his team breathing down your neck when the end is in sight.

I don't think this Arsenal team are anything special. If they were, they'd be out of sight by now. Their squad may be a bit deeper now but I don't think they've added anyone that improves them significantly. It might give them good solid cover, but it's not like their bench is putting the frighteners on anyone either. Our bench a few years ago sometimes contained a handful of proper world class players. Different levels of squad depth.

We've a great opportunity to do this if the players want it badly enough. I'll just be extremely disappointed if we see any lacklustre performances between now and the end. You can take it on the chin if we lose games but give it our all, but any lacklustre performance now isn't acceptable.

Great first half and blew them away but as someone said earlier are we taking our foot of the gas to preserve energy because the second half drop off is crazy . 3 points behind and now and amazingly back in this race. Need to still tighten midfield and second half Nico g needs to be with Rodri and stop attacks .
