Will we win the league this season? No

Pity they’ve got Wolves next in the league.

We can still win the league but still think they are favourites. We are improving but we are not the winning machine of recent times.

It's close, the moment this title goes back into our hands we'll be favourites.

Win at the Etihad to go top, we're taking that chance.

This right here. I can’t believe people are just so willing to throw in the towel.

Arsenal have 4 very tricky fixtures coming up whilst simultaneously during that period we have 4 kinder fixtures (on paper at least)

Even if the gap is 9 points after Anfield win those 4 and there is no way Arsenal will be 9 ahead after that period.

My prediction is they will have at least 2 draws which providing we do our job would leave us 5 points behind with them still to come to the Etihad. Of course if we win at Anfield this becomes an even more positive scenario.

So buckle up and grow a spine. We need to get back to the form we displayed earlier in the season which I’m convinced isn’t too far off. There is no way I am conceding the title in early February to these anti football bottlers and you shouldn't either.
Bump

Point is if we won every game until the end of the season then we would win the title. Arsenal will drop more points.

But unlike previous City teams, the IF is just too big. We might still win it but it's not a cert like in previous years.

very important result.

whats this thing they play Wolves on Wednesday but we dont play and nobody else? dont like it they will be 1 game ahead for a few weeks.
It's their game from the Carabao weekend. As Palace are in Europe, they haven't managed to find a date yet and, given a chance, the PL will probably make us play it the night before we play Arsenal.

It does give them an advantage IF they win.

One of the few slots to fit the game in. We can’t as Palace are in conference action.

It's their rearranged game from the final. We need to play Palace, but they're in the playoff European games next week. Nature of the beast when you go deep in everything, it is what it is.

The Goons are bottle jobs , their manager , team and fans cannot handle a title race , any team that has a bit of quality and put pressure on them and they fall apart , they are a boring robotic team with no creativity or flair , when they come to the Etihad the atmosphere we create and Pep's nouse ,its three points in the bag
Legohead is to fraught and on the edge all the time and this transmits to the team , if they finish 2nd again they will be a laughing stock

how convenient their Carabao final PL fixture is vs one of the worst PL side ever. then if neither us or Palace out of Europe by April this could be pushed back quite a lot even into late April. 2-2.5 months with a game in hand, which can be be extra pressure for us and a larger gap indeed if they manage to beat a shit Wolves.

Guess one reason Arsenal find it easier in Europe than in the PL is they can't dominate physically in the PL to the extent they do it against European teams.

Part of the reason they look more stable in defence than us is that they play more defensive football than us. I think Arteta is a bit more defensively minded than necessary.

It's funny that at one point on Sunday they were 9 pts clear, 100 hours later they are just 4 pts clear. Bit of a blow that.

Cheers mate. We also lost later that month (January) to Newcastle before going on that unforgettable run. Didn’t Liverpool draw in the same round of fixtures (Leicester maybe?) which took the gap to five - and then they drew two more which meant we won the league by a single point?

Only game they lost that season, that magnificent win. I doubt there will ever be another season like it. Still my favourite one.
Burnley. Sweet Jesus of Nazareth
