Champions League Games | Playoff Knockout Round | 17/18/24/25 February '26

You really are coming across as a bit of a ****. Losing an award is nothing compared to racism, wfuch he’s endured previously.

Red flag all over you.
We really need to understand that evidence, innocent until proven guilty, fair trial etc are to be applied universally, and not something you ignore because of alleged "racism" or "sexism".
Incidentally, if a White or India accused a black of being racially abusive, or a Jew accused a muslim, it would be taken far less seriously. Which in fact shows that the supposed hard stance against "ism" is itself racist.

Would've been a great time for Mourinho to keep his arrogant mouth shut for once in his life and keep his opinions to himself, but he just can't help himself.

Instead, he has revealed that he can't conceive of the quite straightforward idea that Vini might be a wind-up merchant, and be subjected to unjustifiable racist abuse, and that both of these things can be true at the same time.

Condensed stupidity from the special one. I hope he gets a 10 game ban just for being an unbearable dick.

How the fuck do you get 100% proof of what was said? The shady little prick covered his mouth before he said something to Vini, so I'm inclined to believe he said something outrageously offensive.

If a black player claims they've been racially abused, you don't just blithely disregard it.

And contrary to your bullshit, he's never once lied about being racially abused. Spain and Portugal are notorious for archaic attitudes towards black players.
"If a black player claims they've been racially abused, you don't just blithely disregard it."
The sheer lack of self reflection and awareness in that statement is hilarious.

We all saw.

He didn’t do anything wrong tonight however, he literally celebrated a goal.
By crotch-fucking their corner flag? At home I can see, but away? TBH I can see how the fans were upset by that. He got a card for it too didn’t he? Doesn’t excuse missiles or racism. But I thought that celebration was disrespectful.

It's going to be another incident that's never going to get cleared up unfortunately, it's one person's word against another. Allegations that have to be taken very seriously!

He made himself look really sketchy by putting his shirt over his mouth and saying something, on the flip side of that nobody else other than himself and Vini Jr know what exactly was said.

Agree.I recall a La Liga game a few years ago (Villarreal?) he scored and wound up the fans. I think he got sent off and said he was reacting to the fans abusing him?

That doesn't excuse if he was racially abused by another player on the pitch tonight.

The fall out from both sides after the match is very unedifying to say the least.

Wish nothing but professional suffering on Madrid and really dislike Vini who obviously was on the wind up in front of the home fans, but no excuse for that treatment from anyone let alone another player.

I'd imagine most of what the Argentine lad was saying to him wasn't exactly family friendly yet he's gone to cover his mouth specifically for whatever sent Vini west, not hard to fill in the blanks.

"Vinicius and Rodrygo say a lot of things in the middle of the game and make fun of other players, nobody talks…But for once if you say something back to them, the world knows what will happen to that player and what card will be drawn"

That’s from Sergio Aguero.

Racism is vile and abhorrent, I say that as a father to a mixed race child and know just how upsetting, horrible and disgusting it is.
If Vini was racially abused then whoever did it should dealt with the harshest possible consequences.
Likewise, I don’t think Sergio would say that for a laugh, at the same time I’m not saying Vini is lying, I like everyone else on here has no idea what was actually said.

Let’s hope the investigation gets to the bottom of what was said and it’s dealt with appropriately.

Hadn't seen the goal, so thought I'd go and watch the highlights to see this "inflammatory celebration" expecting it to be Adebayor-esque.

Is that it? All this fuss over that? Jesus Christ. And he got booked for it?!

Game's gone.

All the racism allegations aside...

Personally thought the celebration was taking the piss, he did go out of his way to incite the crowd, after he was doing the whole corner flag thing, he was shouting stuff at the crowd too, the referee warned him originally but he kept on going in which case he got booked.

He does it quite a bit at away grounds, Madrid players and Rag players are constantly rubbing it in away fans faces when they score, they are the worst cunts for it.

A quick Google. Monkey in Spanish or Portuguese looks like it could be pronounced as faggot. It’s clearly not going to be proven, but for me, Vini’s reaction immediately after the racist shit house **** speaks with his shirt over his mouth is more than enough for me.

I hope the prick is started in Madrid and he’s booted beyond recognition.

They’re both very likely speaking Spanish. This is what AI says about it:

  • No Spanish homophobic slur sounds extremely close to mono (word for monkey).
  • mico and marico are the closest in sound, but native speakers normally would not confuse them accidentally.

This in a sport where players refuse to even celebrate goals against sides for whom they previously played for long periods.
