There will be people who don’t want any people of colour, no doubt about that.

But we’ve been asking for decades for a tighter immigration policy, it’s been ignored and if anything made worst. Whether that’s been intentional or not is anyone’s guess. But your views on the immigration policy is no different to most on the right. We just want to see a fair policy brought in. A policy that keeps us safe as a nation, but also allows opportunities for people coming in and also the opportunity for our economy to benefit from it.

On phone yesterday to a councillor in Derbyshire. Reform councillors (not all of them) are just not turning up to meetings. (Allowances used to be related to actual attendance, but that was a long time ago, and they now get paid just to be, not to do.)

You can't vote in person if you're registered for a postal vote. You can get a new ballot form up to 5pm on the day of the poll (from the Council). If you've not had a card, or the ballot form, you'd better check you're on the register at all...

Fair enough. Unfortunately at the moment all political parties are complete and utter shit. You might have the odd individual who really cares for their constituents but they are rare. Apparently the Green candidate is also standing in May’s local elections elsewhere. Think sound bite, bandwagon Burnham should be thanking those that stopped him being part time f this shit show

Got a very close friend down in Kent and it's a complete shit show down there. They're bullies who don't have a fucking clue what they're doing. Got into positions by shouting the loudest on social media with zero desire to actually help and look after the regions they're meant to be looking after. Farage couldn't give 2 shits about clackton and i hope to shit we don't get this complete clown goodwin where we are. He won't do anything for the area. He doesn't even know the area.

That podcast more than any other is a centrist echo chamber, nobody outside the bubble gives a shit what Alastair or Rory have to say.

And I say that as someone who listens to every episode, thinks Tony Blair was the best leader this country has had since Churchill, has read Campbell’s books and wishes Rory Stewart was back in front line politics.

Right now my best political hope is David Gauke’s Prosper UK group somehow take control of the Tories, I could vote for that.

At least Jon Sopel gave Matt Goodwin a thorough grilling. One of the few serious political journalists left.

Stewart is an honourable and fearless speaker.
I've registered for Prosper UK Membership and hope it takes off.
 
Spoke to a family member today who works for the council.

Supposedly, councillors are all bricking it as the reports of the polling data they've had coming in aren't positive.
