Best win of the season. Great game, great performance. Haaland was immense. How he wasn’t the MotM mystifies me.

He was insanely productive towards the result. Despite not scoring which he usually almost always manages to do, maybe my favourite performance from him. He’s hungry and a serial winner. Top stuff.

Great result but again a fucking awful second half in terms of quality and ball retention

I get that its the result that matters but that performance second half was simply sloppy....we have too many players who either havent got the brains to retain the ball or the ability or both.....Semenyo was shocking, RAN just hoofing up as high as he could and what was Bernardo thinking at times..

Lack of quality on the break as well...Senenyo and RAN very guilty in this respect again...

We were at home and we played like we were away allowing Newcastle just to thump high balls at our back line.

Positives were Khusonov in the second half and obviously NOR ...Haaland with some good touches but he is trying to run past 3 or four defenders at times and simply loses the ball as well. Cherki did well in bits as well


The uality of this team is no where near the standards of past title winning teams.....

Yes the result matters most BUT that was very poor in terms of quality in the second half.....

Pleased we won but that second half was awful. How many chances did we screw up in that last 45…

Right where we want to be in the mix though…just need le arse to fold now

I accept most of what you said there, but to be fair, no other team is really close to our last few title winning teams, they were THAT good imho, so that's an unfair stick to beat us with. That said, we are most certainly in transition, and we could be a very exciting unit next season, if we gel.

Agree. They really only created that chance at the end that Donnarumma saved. Even their goal was a scruffy deflection. Very professional performance by us I thought

I dunno if its possible to fix the 2nd half problems with Don in net tbh

He can't kick it long and find our players.

I think his short passing is actually pretty decent, but he seems scared to do it to our players receiving under pressure.

Needs to do it quicker so not under so much pressure.

I think its definitely him for some of it, but the others may not be doing their jobs properly either.

I hope we figure it out.

i really dont know how people can watch game after game on tv we see more replays than actual game why three from different angles the reaction all while game going on
newcastle got free kick in good position but how we wouldnt know

Knew it would be a tough game I called it 2-1 pre match. No money on it though. 2nd half’s making it look like we’re still short of something. It’s a worrying pattern. Great result
