Will we win the league this season? No

It's going to be close.

We seem to be hitting form winning 7 of our last 8 games in all competitions. Guehi and Semenyo have settled nicely and Haaland is improving despite not scoring many. Rodri looks to be getting better by the week and Nico O'Reily is an absolute gem and we seem much better with him in the middle. Ait-Nouri is also coming along nicely.

Leeds & Forest next up while Arsenal tackle Chelsea and Brighton away it's a big 10 days.

Fucking come on City.

I’ve said all along that if we were within 5-6 points if arsenal heading into the back end of the season that we would reel them and in and I have seen nothing to make me change my mind on that.

The fact it’s potentially 2 points instead of the 5-6 is just an added bonus

I think it is a season to early for us, we haven't yet established the consistency that our previous winners had. It takes a while for new players to pick up Pep"'s system as Guehi has admitted and he is England's first choice centre back. A fully fit Rodri plus another couple of additions in the summer and it will be back to the only team that can stop City is City. Still think that we will run the Gooners close though.

Arsenal win it by 5-7 pts im afraid , we’ve been average at best .

2 pts out of 12 from Brighton and spurs tells me all I need to know

Today’s result says more about Spurs than Arsenal

Yep, it probably does ..... it was a derby after all, yet Tottenham only seemed to be in the game sporadically, and even at 1-1 you always felt that Arsenal were gonna score again, they just seemed faster to every ball.

There was only one team bossing the 2nd half, and Spurs only offered that effort that the Raya 'pawed' off the line.

It doesn't really say much for us that we couldn't win there, even with a two goal lead.

How do you work that out when the title is still in our hands? Every top team has bad days.

We seemed to do ok yesterday on that front.

Arsenal’s set pieces success is built on blocking and pushing in the penalty area (which under the laws of the game is illegal) and yet Spurs have a goal disallowed for a push and dive which would have been described as ‘soft’ ‘got to be stronger’ had the boot been on the other foot.

And we all know what happened when Spurs scored a highly dubious (illegal) goal against us.

Not sure what that’s got to do with what I posted. I wasn’t talking about Arsenal. We got sone favourable decisions yesterday.

This will be an easier question to answer next Wednesday night and then will still hinge on April 18th.

All I know is that in August there isn't a single person on here that wouldn't have jumped at 5 points behind, a game in hand, with the leaders still come to Etihad in the spring, having avoided the CL playoffs and a LC final still to come. Everything else, from happy clappers and bed wetters alike, is people projecting their own dispositions onto football. We have given ourselves a good chance of winning it. Neither Arsenal nor us have been at our best, the team that goes up a gear and holds their nerve wins the title. Season starts now, absolutely no fucking reason to be crying over results from the early autumn.
