Denton and Gorton by-election - Green Party wins

Brilliant news, best start to the morning in ages.

Anything that reduces how normal hatred has become is brilliant. Not sure how Reform are getting so many votes when they're so clearly ran in the same manner as Trump's Republicans. You want armed forces locking your neighbours up for nothing and then further down the line the abolition of the NHS?

People acting like the Greens are saying anything crazy shows just how far to the right politics has become. They've got standard left-wing policies, similar in many ways to the Scandinavian countries who are generally seen to have the best quality of life in the World. But being like them is crazy? Bring it on.

Ive seen stuff that makes me think people think they look cool and edgy by stating their support for them

ONLY positive out of this is the bloody nose its given Labour.

Exactly. If I want to come to the UK, I have to be away from my wife and daughter for about 9 months for no reason other than to satisfy the racists in society.

I wonder if this election result will actually see the Greens get the same outsized media coverage that Reform enjoy compared to the actual number of MPs they managed to get elected.

I don’t keep up to date with what Rupert Lowe is saying to be honest mate.

Most countries do have a minimum requirement, nearly every EU country has some sort of requirement to meet for spouses. If it’s not a minimum salary it’s a certain amount of proved income or net bank balance required.

Rather than us nitpicking on these points anyway, do you think the Green’s immigration policy will increase it or decrease and to what level of numbers do you think is acceptable?

Burn the UK down, nobody can come then and the “racists” won’t be able to get what they want. Quickest way to do that is vote Green…

Considering Reform policy is to try and reduce authoritarian legislations that have recently put in place and introduce a new free speech bill, which by the way will grant Palestine Action the right not to be arrested for protesting, calling them “fascist” is funny.

It's certainly a repudiation of Starmerism, and show the fallacy of trying to win over Reform voters. Pandering to the right has only served to alienate large sections of Labour's core support, and blocking Burnham's candidacy was a mistake. He's a dead man walking.
