Leeds United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Massive win, wasn’t pretty at times but we have come on leaps and bounds in games like this. Months gone by, we would have crumbled and let in 2 late goals, almost as if the full squad now know what is at stake and the true meaning of ‘we fight till the end’. We have a difficult run of games so we need to keep that focus and intensity

Rodders of old, that - just like Iniesta, every single thing he does, you'd think that anybody could do it - but put them all together and nobody else does.

Two really good games from him.

Come on you Blues (x2, this weekend)!
Agree after a wobbly start from him a few misplaced passes but did improve massively

Great result and after the first 20 mins, for once, we were pretty consistent between the two halves......the overall performance was pretty average in terms of quality however with some patches of slightly better.

Guehi good again
Dias organised but looked shakey in the first half....but was better in the second half
Semenyo got his goal but needs to contribute more in the overall game.
rodri looked fitter BUT a bit sloppy in the first half giving the ball away twice
Bernardo didnt stop running and helped to try and control the pace of the game.
RAN good going forward but still suspect defensively.

Cherkis influence grew

NOR was key and we lost any sort of semblance of control when he went off....both subs (reijnders and Sav) were poor and contributed virtually nothing which is par for the course with both of them

Standard post for you. One positive followed by nit picking negatives.

Well played.

Last year we’d have lost 3-1

Leeds' record at Elland Road in evening/night games this season:

8pm KO vs Everton - won 1-0
5.30 KO vs Newcastle - drew 0-0
8pm KO vs West Ham - won 2-1
8.15 KO vs Chelsea - won 3-1
5.30 KO vs Liverpool - drew 3-3
8pm KO vs Palace - won 4-1
8pm KO vs Forest - won 3-1
5.30 KO vs Man City - LOST 0-1

We've pulled off a big result here.

I don't want to be the downer, but this performance will not suffice when looking at our fixture list. The result certainly will
It most certainly will toughest conditions under the lights at Elland Road. One of toughest away fixtures of the year.
