No I would be on board if we were in fact trying to help Iranians if it were possible. But we weren't and it isn't. Hegseth's comments seems to suggest such.

The Patriot system is the cheapest missile at about $2m per go on the US bases and production time is in the years. Standard procedure is to fire 2-3 to take down a threat. The Iranian drones cost $25,000 a pop and were somewhat humorously described recently by an American general as "goddamn toy aeroplanes with bombs on them".

The economics of the situation require the involvement of us otherwise the Us/Israel are going to be bled dry. Iran's capabilities are so often schizophrenically stated in the West. Israel takes them extremely seriously as a military threat and that should tell people all they need to know.

There's been some authenticated videos showing 3 patriot missiles to take down 1 of the latest generation Shahed drone

Some of the military experts/analysts that aren't obviously linked to US media (but seem kind of reliable) seem to think the US and Israel have about 4-7 days worth of defensive missiles left, and there's quite a few suggestions they might try to end this in the next few days because the rate at which Iran's cheap missiles and drones start getting through air defences is going to go up exponentially.

If that's true (big if) it makes Iran's targetting of non-US/Israeli targets even more baffling, because the only way the US and Israel can sustain this missile tossing rally without risking their troops is if they don't get help.

Just like Trump doesn't give a fuck about Ukrainians, North Koreans or any other nationality.

The whole incident didn't seem right to me, load of people mooching about afterwards, nobody frantically digging through the rubble. Obviously with only Iranian media allowed to report hard to know for sure but I would question everything and just as you might not take Donalds spouting as facts I wouldn't blindly repeat the '153 dead girls' as any kind of truth either
