47 | Phil Foden - 2025/26

Not got a clue why hes started tonight after not even getting a minute in games recently

Absolutely turgid stuff and still plays the game like an academy player

I wouldn't be bothered one bit if we managed to get some money for him in the summer
This exactly. He still looks like a scared academy player out there who is 25. He's not a youngster anymore.

Phil is one of the players we all want to see do well but again he is given the chance to make a difference and is left wanting. I don't think the title was all about this game as I expect Arsenal to still lose another game but tonight it was his lack of fight and his lack of wanting to use the ball effectively that stings. He has done this on and off for 18 months now - at the top level you cannot do that if you are only in the team to create or score. I think he feels he is the player Cherki is for us - ie demanding the ball and playing through passes - however he doesn't do that. I am very frustrated with him.
Cherki was head and shoulders above him as a playmaker and he was more deep!

Rotational player for the rest of the season I think.

Worrying state is that bar 10 games in the last 18 months, 2 years, that's all he has been. A rotational player.

In the big games he isn't even being considered as an option off the bench.

He got his chance tonight because NOR was out.

No doubt he will want a pay-rise this summer with him only having one year left on his £250k a week deal.

Time to move on for me.

Cherki is what Foden thinks he is, some of the Passes Cherki was making with either foot at different angles threading that ball through.

Concerned is an understatement. No Mental (grit) developed since he broke through and that PFA Player of the year. Maybe we are being too harsh and it’s a physical problem like others today were saying but wow. Got the ball and did nothing, even when he receives it just feels like nothing is going to happen he picks up space in awkward positions. And doesn’t have the IQ to find the next pass from said awkward positions

The most disheartening thing about this season and last is Phil's fall from grace, and knowing in my heart he'll never be the player he once was.

We were up against it in that second half and Pep realised he wasn't good enough to rescue it for us, not anymore. So fucking dejecting.

Get rid of him while we can still get some type of money for him he’s gone to shit
