Mate I'm no bedwetter and I don't often comment on players or the teams performance, but if you believe your first 8 words, describe to nights performance, I will seriously after 60 years of watching City, have to reevaluate my understanding of football.Despite a very accomplished performance by the lads, scandalous officiating sees us dropping two points and predictably enough all the bedwetters come almost gleefully out of the woodwork windmilling verbal punches in all directions. Pathetic.
As someone else wisely said, tonight has shades of the Sunderland game in the 11/12 run in - a hard earned point that ultimately proved crucial.
Long way to go yet, plenty of points to play for, keep the faith.
Arsenal fans and players want it more than we do to the point that they are capable of imploding if we pressure them. Unfortunately I don't see us getting close to them again.Arsenal are not impressing anyone and I can see them dropping more point but we are not in a position to capitalise on it at the moment. Unfortunately I think we will drop more points and it won’t be enough.
AgreedLong way to go yet. Expect the unexpected.
It is true that we have had setbacks in previous title winning seasons where we have produced some wretched games and then gone on turn it around. It is unlikely now but not impossible. We of course have to beat Arsenal and if we do, the gap could be 1 point. But we obviously have no margin for error now
We've had a small handful of decent performances since Christmas and half of them were in the cup. We're just not the same team as we once were. It's a transitional season, which happens.Teams that win the league don’t drop a 2 goal lead against Wolves
Who are arsenals match winners?Too many are hoping Pep can inspire us like he has done in the run-ins with his previous teams.
Those teams had some serious quality and leadership about them.
Many forget his first title at City had the likes of Vinny, Silva, Fernandinho, Sergio, KDB and Gundogan in it.
Unbelievable footballers, big game players and leaders of men.
This team however, just does not have it in them in my opinion and this season is going to end up being a learning curve for a lot of the newer players priming them for the title races in years to follow.
We have one player in that team who we can pin hopes on winning us a match, and that's Haaland. You cannot rely on one player and a player who is greatly out of form.
We just have to try and stay in touch and apply the pressure and stranger things have happenedWe've had a small handful of decent performances since Christmas and half of them were in the cup. We're just not the same team as we once were. It's a transitional season, which happens.
I guess its possible the Arse shit a brick and do a Devon Loch, but I just don't see it myself. They'll canter to the league for me, 2nd will scrape 75/78 points at best with the arse clear of that!!
by the look of it their starting 11Who are arsenals match winners?
We lacked a cutting edge (two pens might have helped in that regard) but our passing and retention of the ball and our ability to slow the game down and control it is improving week on week for me and was good tonight.Mate I'm no bedwetter and I don't often comment on players or the teams performance, but if you believe your first 8 words, describe to nights performance, I will seriously after 60 years of watching City, have to reevaluate my understanding of football.
