The Pineapple in Shaw. 15 years old and my favourite aunty took me there with her new fella at the time.

Turned out later in life she scammed my mum over so she is now the **** of the family. Nice one though for that pint, you slag.

Not my first pint but I remember my grandad letting me have a swig of his beer as he was stood on the steps of a tourist steam train that had a bar. We were on some family excursion. It was a sweltering hot day. Was in one of those ‘70s tankards with dimples. Reckon I was about 8.

I remember liking the taste!

I suppose it’s just one of those moments in life. I remember my first experience with alcohol. Around 13 years old and me and my new mate from school managed to get some carlsberg special brew. Two cans of that. Woke up in my parents bed, full of sick and had no recollection of getting home. A proper bollocking and a weeks grounding.

If only I’d have realised at that moment alcohol isn’t for me!
