Fuck dragging my arse all the way there next week. If we go through and I miss it, I'll be prepared to eat humble pie until I'm sick. Highly doubt it mind.
Then time to move on.That Foden is long gone.
fuck me put the toys back in the pram and your dummy back in your mouth. NOR has been one of the best players this season in lb and cm. We were piss poor today to a man but reading dross like this is shameful.Just unfeckinbelievable. The worst Real Madrid team in living memory and we were 3 down at half time.
My wife is more a full back than NOR, and as for that lanky Italian streak of piss in net, well God help us.
Savinho was his usual guaranteed dogshit, whilst Semenyo might as well have not been there.
And then there is Haaland, just how fuckin ineffective is he. He is just absolutely 100% shite. He offers less than nothing. Every time I see his name in the line up you know we are playing with 10 men.
I've seen some pitiful and unexplainable City performances in many decades of watching City, but Jesus, that was the most dreadful I've ever seen.
Just WTF must have Cherki and Marmoush have been thinking have have as they watched that dross.
In short, Guardiola, it's time to go.
That’s the thing that blows my mind. It might have been a good risk to take in fourth round of the FA Cup against Chester away, but in the Bernabéu int first leg of a CL knockout round - that is sabotage.I'm generally in the clapper camp tbh. And mostly accept that you take the mad with the smooth with Pep. But that was a bonkers one. We have spent two seasons doing ok by clogging up the midfield and all of a sudden we are trying to kill Madrid away without one.
Play the kids and fringe players and concentrate on the final 4 days laterNot even sure what I really expect from the 2nd leg.
First year of the second year of the rebuild
It's a slight improvement. We're already in a final and have made a better fist of the premier league. This is our transitional season with too many comings and goings to expect perfection. Many of the outgoings were world class too. The jury is out on whether their replacements can fill the void, time will tell.

I think the PL has been poor this season and that’s a factor in our position. Made a final last season so very similar. It's a slight improvement. At least enough to not prioritize football over many, many other more important things.I bet you felt clever writing it.
Feel like we felt they were there for the taking, but made a grave error. I thought 3-0 flattered Real at half-time personally - 2 worldies and 1 top finish after a lucky deflection. But, it was alarming seeing how quickly Real went from back to front against us. The high line with Guehi and Dias is criminal, and playing wingers, along with 2 central forwards is suicidal. Poor crosses cause transitions, and when you have zero legs in midfield, you cannot stop counters.
In addition, I think Assistant Pep has made us easier to play through. It's staggering how exposed we are when the first line of the press is beaten. Equally, our build up is terrible, and I don't think it is all on the keeper. We haven't found a way to counteract man for man pressing at all.
But, I think a lot of it comes down to extremely poor squad rebuilding. We have now signed a plethora of players who aren't at the level. Marmoush, Doku, Savinho, Reijnders, are just not good enough for where we want to be. It's debatable that Semenyo is - numbers wise he's been good, but i'm not sure he fits us all that well, and if his numbers just come at the expense of Haaland scoring, we are no better off. I'm not even that convinced on Guehi - because I don't think you can partner him with Dias and play a high line.
There is also a very serious question about Foden in there somewhere. Top players don't usually drop to his current level for almost 2 years and then recover from it. I don't know what's gone on with him, but nowhere to be seen tonight when we badly need a goal - pretty much tells you everything.
Bollocks.I’m not reading the thread because it will be filled with knee jerk bollocks but I thought overall it was a fairly even game. Their finishing was better and they got all the bounces. I think if Nico would have scored one of those two we’d have a real chance of going through. As it is it will take a monumental result but I haven’t given up.
Exactly this, i still haven't got over the chelsea final, no fucking Rodri what a bizzare stupid decision. We have to accept that as good a Manager is in the Premier League his record with us in the Champions League given the players and resources we have had is very poor. 1 trophy to date is poor. Invariably our failures have been down to his bizarre team selections at critical points
Humbled by Forest… grow upOn the basis of us playing so majestically??
We've just been humbled by Madrid, humbled by Forest a week ago but yet you still think we will turn over a bang in form Arsenal and edge past Liverpool who will be bang up for it as always against us.
Brilliant post I’m with you, come on City and next time we play em wear blue and white.I’m not reading the thread because it will be filled with knee jerk bollocks but I thought overall it was a fairly even game. I seem to remember him picking an inexplicable team in a certain match in Porto cos he thought it would be the team to batter our opponentsDid you really think that team tonight wasn't picked to hurt madrid tonight, he picked it to batter them
WowWe lost because Pep is a regulal bottler in the CL, that's all.
Jesus fucking Christ. We need to sell Haaland. absolute waste of space. People say we won the treble with him. Bollocks. We had prime Kevin, prime Bernie, prime Stones, prime Gundo, prime Eddie, prime Dias, and prime Rodri, no wonder we won it all. Even prime Grealish.
We are obviously not that team any more and Haaland adds nothing. He is in cricketing terms a flat track bully.
