This is from the BBC match report. It's not that unusual. The plan was to attack Real Madrid and play football in their half. What happened was that we gave them opportunity to counter-attack and we didn't have enough quality to turn possession into chances.

What a poor line-up that is. Really need to go on a market and bring some class players in.

He's a liability atm. Stick him on the bench and don't use him barring injury to Marmoush for three or four matches. Get him angry and fighting for his place.

Lol, I think I was being a bit too generous there, i barely heard his name on the match commentary all night ....... he sure earns a lot of money for someone who does a disappearing act all too often !

Remind me how many chances he missed last night….. admittedly I didn’t see all the match but what I did see, he didn’t receive any service or support. Blame him when he does

He must be so frustrated, game after game he makes runs off the centre half for nobody to play the through ball. The old sideways and backwards

Having said that if we beat Arsenal and win our game in hand, we’re only one point behind. It’s unlikely I know, but on paper we have a chance.

TBF Thats not strictly true as his record suggests. I get what you mean though. He's not exactly in great form. Pep won't want to drop Haaland though.

Well it depends what you mean by service, do you mean the ball being played directly to where he is, or the ball being played into a space where he should be?

If the former, you're probably right, if the latter, you're very wrong

A striker missing chances is better than a striker not been involved or on the end of chances.

We created absolutely loads of opportunities last night.

If Erl was not playing and the game played out the same and we did not score,

we would all be saying, if Haaland was playing he would have been on the end of those!

I don't know what it is but he is rarely in the right place to score at present.

The tactics don't suit him. That said, while he's a fantastic elite striker, he's not a particularly good footballer. He needs to improve his all-round game significantly.

He's been ineffective for two months. That's nowhere near acceptable for £500k a week.
