West Ham United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Works ok when you’ve got a De Bruyne to drop it in the perfect spot but otherwise there’s no space and no one technically able to find him aside from probably Cherki.

To be fair he's top scorer in the league this season without KDB.

So he doesn't necessarily need De Bruyne. We just need more quality.

Cherki must have the most assists and chances created per minute in the league. Haaland is the top scorer. Mad idea but why not start them together and built a relationship?

I'm just not accepting that as a bad performance. We dominated the entire match, we just came up against an average keeper in world class form and couldn't put it in the net ourselves. Our best performance across the 90 minutes for some time - West Ham created nothing from open play - we just didn't get the bounce in the six yard box.

It's more costly because it's come at this stage of the season but I was quite encouraged.

Created fuck all really until the last 10 mins - what game were you watching….??

Don't waste your breath fella. The forum is awash with Pep outers tonight. Do what I'm just about to do, head to the bed bottle.
Grins. I basically gave up after the equaliser, I'm surprised we doid't lose to some scabby goal at the end.

I can't fault their efforts really, but they look clueless up front and have for several weeks now imho.

Probably not going to be popular and I fully understand why but, we were better to watch before Rodri became a regular in the side

His passing accuracy is significantly down compared to pre his injury, 134 passes this evening with 87% accuracy

Correct. We have a striker who is best on the shoulder of the last defender, if we play it long. We spend so long going sideways and backwards with the ball his studs have taken root.
Phew !!! Thought we had the best striker in the world for a minute there, you know , score from anywhere

This was almost identical to the other 15+ points we've lost from winning positions.

It was average at best.

Really? How so? We had 10 or so corners 0 goals, so he flapped at 1, tell me why when our wide players are 1 on 1 with a fullback do they not get at them?
Donna Summer should have had that corner, but we are absolutely toothless up front. No idea at corners ourselves not threatening in any way and OUR BIG CENTRE FORWARD was fucking useless again . West Ham offered nothing but we couldn't put them away. Cherki and Doku should have started. Pathetic effort

We are a team in transition having lost some genuinely world class players in the past few seasons and I think we are doing a lot better than I thought we would at the beginning of the season.

Dominated possession today, 20+ shots and 15+ corners yet players can’t shoot straight. Foden missed the cross six yards out, Haaland scuffed one past the post as did Semenyo, Nunes had a poor first touch with a clear sight of goal and Guehi blasted over from five yards. On another day we win that by two or three clear goals. It’s a relatively young side that will only get better with two or three signings. But some players need to either shape up quickly or tell their agent to find another club.

Well done to arse, they have pushed, pulled and fouled your way to the title, but it’s not easy to defend it, just ask the dippers. We will come again don’t worry.
I am thinking this more than anything. I’m well pissed off and irked by poor decisions but we look like we are not far off. If we score late on today and hold on this whole thread is different. I’m not a happy clapper, I’m really frustrated we’ve thrown chance after chance away but truth is if we’d beaten Forest and WHU by 2 or more goals nobody would bat an eyelid. We are not that far off. Real was a total brain fart and inexcusable. Today was just one of those games.
