West Ham United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

The price of sucess i guess mate.

It brings entitled fans to us.

Maybe we can house them all in the new super stand?

Manchester City fans are the fucking best fans in the world
We love drama, win lose or draw, somebody has a view to share on here and think the club listens

I am still waiting for a call from Pep to thank me for my view on his first season and why on earth are you dropping Joe Hart and signing a clown in Claudio Bravo? I told him on here he was wrong and would need Ederson if he was to win titles and cups

I thought that, but on the replay, I don't think it's as good a ball as it looked. Hit into him really hard and it wasn't flat, so was bobbling as he swung at it - sounds like nothing but makes a difference if you are hitting it first time. Should still do far better, but Doku can do better with the pass too.
Oh right that’s fine then !!! Get it in the fkin onion bag

To be quite honest about Doku (that ball aside)...He's bang average. He can go past players all he likes, it's his end product that's the issue, from when he joined originally to the present day his end product hasn't got any better.

Going from Sterling and Mahrez to Doku and Savinho isn't just a gap, it's a fucking canyon.
To be fair though in terms of players on the market there aren’t really any that have matched those - the only ones I can see are Olise, Kvaratshelia, Raphinha. Doku is good. Savinho isn’t good enough yet.

I think I might have finally reached that point where you have to face the fact that all good things come to an end

Pep had given us things we’ll be grateful for forever and will never ever forget. He will be the best manager we’ve ever had in our history

But his time is up. It’s gone stale. It’s not working anymore

We need a young, energetic manager with fire in his belly.. who will bring new ideas and invigorate the team

Come home Vinny.. it’s your time
Part of me can't accept Pep going, that said, Vinny would be an amazing choice, would love to see how he'd step up to the challenge.

Absolutely. Team Haaland won’t tolerate this shite.

I don’t want to make excuses, but he’s gone from playing with KDB, Gundo, peak Bernie, Peak Roddrs, Peak Grealish to Marmoush, Nico and Semenyo…I’m wincing whilst typing it. Startling really. It must be demoralising for the ones who have seen the drop in quality.

I think a big push from Spain this summer and who knows what happens. Maybe the WC gets in the way.
Barca will want him & try to give us 40 years worth instalments for him

So many spoilt brats on here, we can’t win it every year but we gave it a good go.
People are spoilt because they are angry about a shit performance and result? And as for giving it a good go, we are are 9 points behind and the easter eggs haven't been given out yet. I'd say its been a bit of a whimper tbh.
I never fancied us win the league before the season started due to some of the absolute bang average shite brought in the last 3 years, so I'm not as pissed off as some are. That said I dont see how anyone can criticize anyone who found that tonight both boring and not good enough.

He’s nailed it! Our most in form player is Bernardo and he’s in 30’s and probably leaves in the summer. We’re a mess from the keeper who is 6-5 but doesn’t like crosses to a striker who is undroppable ! Something has to give we’re going nowhere at the minute
We’re going to Wembley next week. You there?

Ok fair point after tonight. Let me have another go …

We have shown, on occasions such as the away FA Cup game at Newcastle in the recent past, that we can win big one-off games.

It's confidence mate. At the moment after the hammering in Madrid we're flat, devoid of it, doubting ourselves and moping. If....and i know its a huge if and unlikely given our current form we overturn the Madrid tie it could reinvigorate our season. Please God.

Pep has always said that we don't work on set pieces too much, it's definitely fucking noticeable though...as you said, it's Sunday League stuff.
Arsenal have 16 goals from corners this season, we have 1. Dippers were much better than us at set pieces ( mind you the other 91 clubs in the leagues are better) and they still sacked their set piece coach recently and next game scored 3 from set pieces in the first half.
Just shows the game has moved on and left Pep behind with his tactics and ignoring set nieces ( conceded from the only 1 they had tonight and Forest missed a sitter from a free header from a corner last week).
We just need change now to freshen everything up

Pep sacrificed his identity to evolve with the league instead of technical , good in small space players we’ve got runners and ball progresses which has turned into Posession for possession sake.

The overall identity of a Pep team isn’t there. So we look boring and out of ideas. When we used to have solutions across the pitch.
