It's also my opinion that we won 1-0, because I saw that with my own eyes, too.

So you think that his brief is to maraud forward at all costs? Unlikely, yet that was what he did, again.

As a matter of interest, how would you justify his role in that Leeds attack, without saying 'Pep instructed him to do it'?

That's not an opinion, it's a fact that we won 1-0, as it happened regardless of you seeing it or not - what an odd thing to say.

He didn't maraud forward at all costs, you are just in the belief that's how he plays and are suffering from confirmation bias. Aside from anything else, Pep would hook him (as he has in the past when he hasn't played well) if that was the case. Again, making your own quotes to argue against is poor form.

You don't seem to understand how a discussion should run - I'm responding to what you post, but you ignore parts that you can't answer.

I'll ask again - please run me through the part that he played in the Calvert-Lewin chance (I'm just using this incident because it's an easy recent example of which to find a replay) and explain/justify his actions. I know that you like to fall back upon your apparent ability to read Pep's mind, but try to give me your take on that passage of play.

If your answer is just 'Pep blah blah blah..' please don't bother. I would genuinely be interested to know how those of you who think that he is a defender feel about him making this type of move, that's all.

Ah, I can now see why you thought my statement about unhinged takes was aimed at you. Please also take my refusal to engage in your nonsense however you see fit - if you choose to believe it's an inability to argue against you, do please go nuts.

The Calvert-Lewin chance only happened because Guehi was fouled. If he had scored it would almost definitely have been disallowed because of that.

RAN was clearly asked to provide the width on the left and push forward. He was playing to instructions andh did a very good job.

Couldn't get a game for nearly 12 months and Pep played anyone there ahead of him. Now starts every game. Riddle me that.
He's doing well for the record.

Nearly 12 months? Making up things to have another dig at Pep. You really do dislike him for some reason.

"Very good"?

Ridiculous to take him off yesterday, we had to re shuffle the whole set up, he was far from the worse player on the pitch.

Best LB at the club, he should always play. We need to start picking our best players in their best positions. There was no need to take him off. NOR should have been taken off.

Played really well last night, our biggest threat going forward….Yep take him off…ffs

Probably because he was taking players on. Only Messi is alllowed to do that.
As an attacking left back he was a tad too left backy for this team. Until he learns to play short sideways passes in every position then his future will be lots of half days at work.
Everyone loves an early finish until you realise you have to sit still till the bell rings.
