He worked his socks off as well today, chasing absolutely everything. White took him out for the kick ups and got booked for it, and we got a free kick so it helped in seeing the game out anyway.

If Pep tries to restrict him from doing those things we might lose his overall quality, he's a player who has to express himself.

Despite what some visually impaired observers say, he puts a shift in. Never more than yesterday. Too many in football have forgotten that’s it is (or was) an entertainment business and this guy can produce top drawer entertainment of an impactful variety.

Generally not a fan of needless showboating as it brings nothing to the table and up to that point, Cherki had had a good game but not a great game. however in this instance, it rattled Arsenal and immediately got White booked, that justifies it entirely and nullifies any conversation around it taking the piss or being disrespectful. I'd have him do it every single game if that was always the result.
