33 | Nico O'Reilly - 2025/26

Has a habit of scoring in big games, fantastic talent and eventually will most likely end up in midfield..oh I’d also say he’s already a shoe in for the World Cup squad if not the starting 11 ..

What a guy. Pep has to lock him into a position for the remainder of the season and let him grow in it. Doesnt have to be a forever thing but he needs to be given one role for now and not overload him. With the world cup ahead, even though he's lokely more suited to midfield, left back would probably be his wisest choice right now if he was given the option, and it's where he can improve the easiest.

Apparently Tuchel was there today too, great statement to make ahead of the internationals.

Yeah I think Tuchel will only see him as a LB, he has a bunch of other midfield options.

Just rotate between him and RAN rest of the reason imo.

No need to play him into the ground at this stage we have the depth.

Massive credit to him...

Playing under Pep in your first proper season in senior football, that's a lot to take in already..then you get put in a position that you've never played before and just embrace it and put in top performance, scoring in finals etc..

Speaks a lot for his talent and confidence. Incredible season for him.

I do wonder about his position going forward. I still do think he's more of a midfielder than left back right nka but maybe he could convert full time.

He's much better than Lewis but I don't think Lewis has been helped by nor really nailing down a position to focus on.

What a player and what a great young man!!
Wins us a trophy and is as humble as can be afterwards, the comparisons with Lakey are a little early but he is blessed with talent and is one of our own. Well done that man and now he is etched in history alongside other greats,

Think his best shot for a world cup place will be left back as I'm not sure he's played enough in midfield for us to get attention. But then not playing him as the inside full back doesn't really get the best of him.

Could potentially play him at left back moving into the middle and rely on the holding mid to cover at left back like Gareth Barry used to do for us but it will be simpler not to and just play the specialist left back. Or do a lopsided formation where the defence all steps to the left when Nico goes forward and the right winger drops into a wing back role.

Or drop the DM into the middle of the center backs as they split to cover the wings when we attack. Wharton, Rice and Anderson might have the legs to stop the midfield being ran through. Actually think most of the England squad will be decent at running.

Saw during the trophy presentation that Pep and Tuchel had a chat, I bet pep was telling him the monster he has on his hands and not to fuck it up for clowns like Bellingham to start instead.
