They'll still vote Republican. They don't get their news and current affairs from reputable sources. They just read, hear and watch all the stuff from MAGA grifters. They'll support him if he nulls elections and announces a third term.

They'll only pay attention if the price at the pump continues to rise.

And as a side note, when I was in the US visiting friends a couple of years ago, warned my daughter she would get at least one bellend who'd give it the "we kicked your ass in the revolution". Used to go to school in GA, got it all the time. She was given two options, one gentle, one two footed. When it inevitably happened, she went with the correct option and replied "yeah, and we came back 30 years later and burned your white house down". Piss funny. The lad was fuming and his mum was laughing her head off. She's an old friend and she'd warned him my daughter would know how to deal with any of his bullshit.

These stories are so odd. Americans adore the English as a rule. It’s the French we ridicule.

When I was in Germany the Royal Anglian lads in Celle claimed it was one of their antecedent regiments.
 
Washington was burned by a detachment of British regulars who were sent on from the Caribbean to retaliate for the Americans burning what is now Toronto. Many Canadians do get really angry if you point it out.

You do, but they certainly liked to remind me, regularly, that they "kicked our ass". Don't forget, this is GA we're talking about here. Boston they don't shut the fuck up about it apparently. Because they're all Irish of course.
