The Labour Government

I was going to make a thread a couple of weeks back on Karl Turner being a thoroughly decent politician. He didn’t mince his words - I guess this was inevitable then.

Don't know much about him but he's right to call out the proposals to limit Jury trials and fair play for calling out the obvious phone cover up even if he backtracked later presumably under duress.

I’ve seen him interviewed a few times recently and whilst I may not always agree with him politically he struck me as a straight talker and someone you could have a decent non-partisan chat with.

How can it be called the Labour party, when most of it takes bribes from, Friends of Israel, they have taken free speech away, arresting thousands for terrorism, imprisoned dozens under terrorism, for breaking and entering, betrayed the union movement, and the working classes. Labour now represents capitalists, but the real problem is, they are foreign capitalists, take Palantir for example, a company that specializes in blowing up hospitals, murdering health workers and their families, £350 million for looking after our NHS, the words they used was `our allies` about 50 times, must have been upsetting then, when our allies threatened to turn Britain back to the dark ages, by switching off, Visa and Debit cards, if we did not let them use Cyprus.

Reeves saying any help with energy bills will be based on income.

We all know what that means. Those at the top won’t give a fuck because they can afford it, those at the bottom will be given handouts to help, and those of us on middle incomes will get fucked up the arse as usual.

Pay and pay and pay and pay and get nothing in return.

I’m not at all against helping out the poor but what about folk who aren’t poor enough to qualify for anything but not rich enough they don’t have to worry?

Food, fuel, energy, everything has gone up and up and up and my income hasn’t gone up by that same rate.

The middle classes are easy targets and the government knows it.

I know I’m pissing into the wind having a rant about it on here as you’re all a bunch of socialists who think anyone earning above minimum wage should be shot ;)

Of course it should be based on income. Or do you think millionaires should get the same support as those in poverty?

Handouts, I'm surprised you didn't call them scroungers @Johnny Mars Bar .

Here's a graph showing how much NHS staff took the austerity hit. And perhaps why they are so keen on strike action?

I've always valued doctors above anyone else. Life over money. They should be at the top of the payment tree. When I mentioned this to my consultant she replied " What ! More than merchant bankers"? My reply, especially merchant bankers !

I think it is right to help the most needy so cannot see anything wrong in Reeves statement HOWEVER 16.8 million (25%) claiming a disability suggests the whole system has been hijacked by bullshitters.

I didn't say that.

My point, if you can actually read, was I am sick to death of the middle classes being constantly squeezed and squeezed and squeezed and getting fuck all in return.

Nobody to even vote for these days, everyone's either a far left nutcase, a far right nutcase, or just incompetent.

Yep. The normal process when hiring a tradesman is get 3 quotes and go for the middle one. With doctors all of us would go for the best!

My niece is 'graduating' as a doctor soon so I do have a vested interest in making sure sure all her hard work (and she has worked her socks off) pays off. I just hope she is mentally tough enough. Can you imagine what a 'bad day' for a nurse or doctor is?

Do you have kids and earn less that £60k?

I hate to break it to you but poor people drive cars, I know they shouldn't being poor like but they do. Some older cars can also be worse on mpg. Now this isnt energy bills but its a big outlay and shows the attitude of this govt.
Lots of other countries have actually done something, you know as its actually happening right now.
Im not sure you can trust this lot they have to be dragged into any decision.
Im not sure how they are hoping for economic growth if they keep shitting on those who actually have to spend what they earn.

So not being fucked up the arse or even struggling then?
Bills are going up and up. Energy prices going up and up. Fuel going through the roof. Life is expensive.

Of course there are folk far worse off than me and I have no objection to helping out the poor.

My entire point is there is absolutely no consideration whatsoever for the squeezed middle. We pay in more and more and more and get absolutely fuck all out.

I'll be amazed if I even see a penny of the state pension by the time I come to "retire". Not that I can even see myself being afford to retire.
