Like Kinklaze It won’t be the ability which determines the success of his career but his application. Could be a real great but it will take commitment. Brilliant to
watch though.
 
What a player.

Definitely a bit of a menace/class clown type too, which I don't mind at all as long as its secondary to his playing. I wouldn't want to knock that out of him, I think it's part of how he plays.

Started off poorly, for somebody with a magic first touch, how did he get that first touch so wrong for what was basically the first chance we had when he was put through? A good touch there which is simple for him and that's a certain goal. Passing was wayward after that until we scored the opener and he then found his mojo and stepped it up and the dippers couldn't cope.

It's a real shame they announced the first dippers subs so quietly and quickly, would have been great for the crowd to give Wirtz a rendition of "you're just a shit rayan cherki" as he's going off, missed opportunity there.
 
How can you not enjoy watching Cherki,he is full of tricks and can pass the ball through an eye of a needle. Not everything comes off but he is a pure entertainer and a class act to boot.
 
I think everyone on blue moon knows how highly I rate this guy. Today once again showed me he is much more than an entertainer. After the second goal whilst celebrating he went straight to Doku to talk about how they could link up better to get behind Liverpools defence. That football intelligence is something we were not told about him. I am so glad that the penny has dropped with Pep that he should be the only playmaker in the side - proof is we look like our old selves. Cherki is quality.
