I learned years ago not to make threats.
If Iran weren't engaging in negotiations, who was Trump supposedly talking to for the last few weeks? And the 10 demands that Trump has accepted as the basis for a ceasefire are basically Iran's top 10 wet dreams in bullet form; the idea that these weren't ALWAYS on the table is laughable.Capitulated in the sense that before the threat and the deadline, Iran was not engaging in negotiations. Iran was not talking to mediators, they were not willing to make concessions. IRGC was fully committed to bombing their neighbors, causing havoc throughout the region. They were not looking to end hostilities. They only became interested in ending hostilities when they were about to be destroyed. And once the ceasefire was announced they go back to their normal "we're winning" posture. Iran is a dangerous and delusional country.

Daddy has made the world a safer place according to this goon.Rutte is trumps grining bitch
Surely what trump is doing is worse than Salman Rushdie's 'crime', isn't it?Other countries need to start taking out these loonies in America before its to late.
NATO were to slow to help America? This from the spokesperson for NATOIs Rutte after World Cup tickets, or what? I have to keep switching the news off - he's as sycophantic as Infantino.
We don't know what discussions were taking place.Explosive language. When you frame that way you generate an extreme emotional response. That's not to say you are wrong to be upset, but who's Genocidal here is a point of contention. What I would say is that if you threaten a powerful country and declare your intentions to wipe a country off the map (as IRGC has repeatedly done towards the Jewish State) you don't get to call the "reaction" to that land thieving. As it's all part of a scheme to paint everything about Israel in a negative tone. Any reasonable mannered person can see how problematic this is.
Israel is going to continue to fight because they have enemies fighting them. I think we all wish they wouldn't have to fight anymore. Getting the region to a point where Israel doesn't have to fight presumably requires IRGC to be ended, to which this ceasefire effectively prolongs the agony and misery. IRGC are constantly liars and cannot be trusted with negotiations. They only capitulated here because what Trump was about to do was a red line to them and they had no other card to play. IRGC is stalling and deceiving. That's all they do, that's all they'll ever do. They need to be stopped. Trump is the man to stop them.
To dumb to see it
How many years have all been able to play by the rules?Trump is now a big favourite to win this year's FIFA Ceasefire Award.
Trump didn't need convincing from Bibi or anyone else for that matter to act. That's another tired talking point designed to project the idea that Israel "controls" America or Trump. I hate to break it to you, but Trump acts on his own and doesn't need Bibi to tell him what to do.what IMMINENT threat did Iran pose before Netanyahu convincing trump that this war was a good idea? Did Trump and Hegseth - as they've both suggested - honestly not realise that Iran weaponising the Strait was on the cards?
Was that lesson that they both missed the same one where they would have learned about NATO's rôle in the world, too?
Iran often pretends to negotiate, but they don't make concessions. Often they don't comply with regulations and they have a track record of not cooperating with the US. As far as the ceasefire agreement, it seems to me that it was just a patched together agreement with both sides issuing different demands, and neither really agreeing to anything in detail except generally to stop the fighting for 2 weeks. I don't know if it was a good idea to have a ceasefire, but one thing is clear - the US and IRGC are not really communicating. Each side has made demands essentially in their own echo chamber, demands that were communicated to the other side through Pakistan and loosely agreed to.If Iran weren't engaging in negotiations, who was Trump supposedly talking to for the last few weeks? So Netanyahu's presentation in the White House on February 11 had nothing to do with the subsequent attack? Trump may well have gone for Iran eventually on his own accord, but it's disingenuous to suggest that Netanyahu played no role in convincing him to go for it on February 28.Trump didn't need convincing from Bibi or anyone else for that matter to act. Don't get it twisted. I'm not saying he "played no role". But Trump didn't need convincing. Trump has been speaking out against Iran and the need to prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons for decades, long before he was ever a politician. Trump made repeated attempts to attempt diplomacy with Iran and negotiate. But Iran was not willing to play ball. Trump gave them chance after chance but Iran was not cooperating and was becoming a bigger and bigger threat, not just to Israel but they were quickly becoming more powerful. US and Israel had to put a stop to their ambitions now before it was too late, for us all. There is no scenario where an insane regime like IRGC can be allowed to eclipse America as the World Superpower. In no way is IRGC preferable to America. America is uniquely positioned to handle Iran, due to their position so far away from Iran, and due to their coordination with Israel and other Gulf allies. US needs to finish the job and put an end to IRGC ASAP. I worry that this ceasefire will be used by Iran to re-arm. I hope Trump has a plan, I'm not sure he does but I'm certainly rooting for him and for America and Israel to defeat this evil. IRGC is a danger to the world and they have revealed themself, they have shown us exactly who they are and what they do, and it's important that we understand that.So Netanyahu's presentation in the White House on February 11 had nothing to do with the subsequent attack? Do you think that Trump sees this as his only chance to get out with his version of victory and is simply leaving it to Israel if they want to have crack?Don't get it twisted. who's Genocidal here is a point of contention.
