Premier League Games | 10/11/12/13 April '26

Apart from the odd few like our Erling, plus Kane, Mbappe, Rice … who else is there in the world now as good the old stars like Zidane, Ronaldinho, Maldini, Carlos, Brazil Ronaldo, Figo, Aguero … the list could go on. Why is the standard lower now?

I was having this debate earlier and I think it’s down to players not being ‘allowed’ to express themselves as much anymore. Players play suited to their system now rather than as standout individually.

I reckon Ronaldinho would be classed as a liability by a lot of managers nowadays. Mad really because he made a lot of fans fall in love with the game.

That’s my twopence anyway.

I guess if Spurs go down they've got a great chance of becoming 'Champions of England' next season to go along with their 'Champions of Europe' trophy.

Agreed. It's because statistically taking a long shot or trying to dribble past multiple players is actually negative XG these days because of how teams break.

Rice?! Also, you simply have to refer to him as Ronaldo. Everyone will know who you mean. Tanned one is amongst them though.

Football is cyclical. There will be a surge of talent in the next decade or so.

Fantastic stuff from the Hammers.

Wolves definitely definitely done now. Funniest thing is that they'll probably beat Spurs at Molineux.

If Spurs lose on Sunday, even by one, that goal difference is looking shaky as fuck too and a big thing in a relegation battle

I could actually see them doing a City/Leeds and dropping again.
