Thing is whenever any Pep team has had the title in its sights going into the second half of the season it has pressed the accelerator at the right time.

We've been better since Guehi & Semenyo arrived. And stopped starting Savinho/Bernardo wide right. Cherki also starting more games with Foden so out of form, has seen us improve.

I think we'll still drop some points but the Arse could be imploding so it is possible!!
 
If our mindset is anything other than 'we have to win every game', we won't do it.

Today's result doesn't change anything - tomorrow is a must-win. If we can play every match as though it's the last game of the season, I'll take our chances over Arsenal's any day of the week.

Savinho has started 5 PL games?
We are getting better results now with Dias , Foden, Gvardiol, Stones, Marmoush, Ake, Kovacic, Gonzales not starting too. Rodri, Cherki and the additions of Semenyo and Guehi have been positives but why you have to bring in Savinho/ Bernardo escapes me.
 
I think you lot are over your hump, personally. Attackers are all starting to cook. Have a trophy already by beating Arsenal. No Champions League games left to “distract” you.

9 point gap, 2 games in hand and a home game against Arsenal coming up soon. It’s all looking a bit ominous. I’ve said all season that you’re the favourites; you don’t win the volume of trophies that you do and “no longer have it”.

If I were a betting man, I wouldn’t necessarily bet on you to win it, but I DEFINITELY wouldn’t bet on Arsenal to. I know that makes no sense but does it kind of make sense!?
 
Fucking hell Arsenal…

Now is the time to get this done. Winning games is hard especially mentally during the run in. Winning 8 is possible and we have went on runs before but this team has not.

I don’t want to get my hopes up yet. Chelsea is a basket case that can win on any day so jeopardy is a possibility tomorrow. Arsenal losing will only mean something if we win our next 2 games.

It’s great to be in this position, 1 trophy won, fa cup still going and now the league has become a possibility again.

Let’s see how we manage the expectations tomorrow. So far this season we have not taken advantage at any stage. Well time and games are running out.

Do you want that league city?
 
Reckon we have around a 20% chance of winning it. Looks like they may have gone into panic mode but even if we win the 2 in hand and beat them we’d need to better our GD.
But we still have a chance and they are defo struggling with the pressure.

Every player in our squad .
Right now.
Totally believes and visualizes winning the next 7 games.
Half the squad have done it before.
And the ones who haven't will feed off the older lads.
This team.now could be on the start of another generation of players who will go on to make history.
For city .
And also in English football.
Domestic treble and some how reach heights only man city have achieved before.
At the centre of it.
A year or two before pep expected it.
Is cherki.
He could be.if pep stays.
And if he has the right attitude the best player in the world.
I didn't think any player would ever come close to David Silva.
But this lad is absolutely unbelievable.
And he's fucking mental.
El mago was amazing but he was good as gold.
This lad is a bit like that tosser the rags signed from leeds.
Amazing.
A confidence about him.
But it could all go tits up any second.
El mago is and always will be my favorite ever player.

I was of the opinion that Arsenal had to lose today to give us any hope, i didn’t think them dropping points with a draw is what would let us back in.

I’m still not saying we’re going to do it, ultimately we have no insurance policy and we have to be pretty much flawless now. It’s going to be scrappy, we’re past the point of a draw equalling a loss now for Arsenal, every point matter for them now - there are simply too few games left. I think they need to lose once more not including a potential loss against us next Sunday - goal difference isn’t great for us

they’ve shit the bed no doubt, we’re going to need a massive push from Pep and the lads now. Even if we don’t do it, I want to really push them and make them earn it. They might stumble over the line but equally we might win the league - all or nothing now

The fact that you still have a chance says it all. You do have to do your part and make up the ground, of course. It’s a big ask.

BUT.

Is it really impossible to imagine that Arsenal side today losing again? And again? They were absolutely honking. After you, it’s Fulham and Newcastle. On their day, two very good attacking teams and both chasing Europe.

As I said elsewhere…ominous! 20% is sensible on paper, but…the intangibles like momentum and energy and feeling are completely gone for them. Imagine being 9 points clear at the top of the PL and legitimately despising your team and manager!
