Of course, I was only trying to make a light joke:)That's as may be, but they're above Bournemouth and were at home.

The Matchday Thread is a good laugh, some people take it far too seriously. There are some slightly over the top comments but they're done in the heat of the moment and it will be a shitter game if you take away the passion. People were calling for Pep's head a few games back, but they didn't genuinely mean it, they were just venting in one moment in time and given a bit of distance from the game they'd probably give their heads a wobble. It's what's great about football. The match thread is for knobheads. Why anyone goes on that is beyond me.
Fantastic from City today and never in doubt in my house.
It should have been 10So, in our last three matches, we’ve beaten three teams - cheating Arsenal in the League Cup final, Littlewoods in the FA Cup and the Kremlin dwellers in the Premier League - who are supposed to be our direct rivals at the top of the English game, by a combined aggregate of 9-0.
Not bad for a side in transition.
Oh dear.
Our fans base has always taken the piss out of ourselves and others.
It might come back and bite us on the bum but who cares ?
Going to matches is about having fun.
What do you think of the lad that dresses as a banana ?
You do know what we mean by the term swamp ?
My guess is you arent a blue
I am a blue but I dont buy other clubs merchandise just to try and get on tv acting like a 10 year old. Funnily enough, I’d have no problem with it, if his kid was the one pissing around. Hes an adult FFS
I thought the Arsenal bottle guy was fucking brilliant. well done Sir.I am a blue but I dont buy other clubs merchandise just to try and get on tv acting like a 10 year old. Funnily enough, I’d have no problem with it, if his kid was the one pissing around. Hes an adult FFS
That “fan” they kept showing, if he’s disabled, then it’s on the tv studio and it’s out of order showing him being weird. If he’s actually a grown man that took a bottle with the arsenal logo into the game, and then those shirts with messages on, our fan base is absolutely ruined by weirdos
Reminds me of times gone by, as a boy standing on the terraces listening to the old codgers moaning about everything. Quite a lot of it makes me chuckle. The Matchday Thread is a good laugh, some people take it far too seriously. Long live the Matchday Thread....and all the loons.
Ive seen him and his son at most games home and away.
He doesn’t sit with a car rug over his knees and clap politely when we score. I think those that show no passion are the weirdos.
And I’ve seen plenty of them over the years.
And that’s fine, but desperately trying to get yourself on TV is where I draw the line.
Lighten up fella, I’ve already told you he is a top Blue and follows City everywhere. And that’s fine, but desperately trying to get yourself on TV is where I draw the line.
Someone doesn't read right about your posts. After an outstanding weekend for us on the pitch, you just choose to make weird posts about fans. And that’s fine, but desperately trying to get yourself on TV is where I draw the line.
you forget that most City fans are nervous nellies until we are 4-0 up in the second minute of additional time and even then.....Absolutely spot on.
I'm staggered at the fact that most people cannot see this title race for what it is. A team that's desperately hanging on despite being 9 points clear and with only 6 matches to go. If you're that nervous and panicky despite having such a massive advantage and so little room for error for the chasing team, yet the best you can manage out of those fixtures is a scrappy CL win against a bang average Lisbon side, not only are you not going to win anything, you don't deserve to.
City on the other hand, absolutely on fire and desperately unlucky not to take all three points in both the West Ham and Forest games, before Taking Arsenal apart in the League Cup final, Liverpool even more so in the FA Cup then making light work of Chelsea today.
Yet despite this our own fanbase is still full of fans who cannot see how far ahead, in terms of how we're playing and our confidence levels, we are compared to Arsenal.
These are just a few gems from TODAY's match thread:
"We’re crumbling under pressure here"
"Pressure is causing us to play like this"
"Seriously, this is shit. Arsenal are bottling it but we are not champion worthy"
"This is wank now"
"Nerves not just getting to Arsenal, us too."
"Rubbish so far"
"Certain players are sloppy because of nerves and some not been in this situation of a must win"
"Just let them score first it’s gonna happen anyway….
"Run ragged here by not playing out properly. Players look tense."
"Swear to fuck we are the most nervous team in the league"
Yet we were never in any real trouble. Sure, it was obvious we needed to step up a gear but if you've watched more than a handful of City's matches this season you SHOULD know what we're capable of, yet these clowns can't even get their head around the fact that a match isn't decided in the first 15 minutes.
We've shown ZERO nerves or pressure over the past few matches, blown Arsenal, Liverpool and now Chelsea away without conceding a goal and yet OUR fans are bottling it. Not the team, the fans. It's hilarious to see. The only thing that makes it funny though is the fact that while we're revelling in the challenge, Arsenal and their fans really are bottling it.
This wasn't even a must-win today (according to many of our fans it was probably the 10th time they have proclaimed a match to be a "must win"), but had we lost we wouldn't have been any worse off. ONE match is key and that's next week. Arsenal have enough in the bank - probably - to be able to afford a draw. Win it and they likely win the title, but lose and it's ours. I can even see them losing a couple more, but if we're still 6 or more points behind this time next week it's probably going to see them through.
Yet we have one trophy in the bank, another cup semi-final, a chance of the title, all from a team still in transition yet the lack of belief on this forum is staggering. Heaven knows what the Arsenal forums must be like if ours are still this bad.
We've got this, JUST FUCKING BELIEVE and give our lads the backing they deserve instead of slating them for a slow 15 minute spell like it's something you've never seen before.
Cos his face is a mess !Arteta's depressed
Treble Treble
His hair is a mess
Treble Treble
How could they know
City...3 in a row
What’s even worse is that the refs angle he probably doesn’t see the foul (the massive push) and only as a shoulder to shoulder challenge, but VAR gets to see the angle which is clear as day a foul. That’s the sort of thing VAR was brought in to correct, clear and obvious! Luckily it did not matter, but who knows if gd will come into play and not giving us a chance of a goal could be tellingWhat explanation, enshrined in the LotG, persuades the ref that the foul on Doku wan't a foul and therefore not a pen?
Thanks mate. I'm usually OK working out pl games left and permutations when we are going for the title but this one floored me and I just thought can't be. GNUAC taking shite again.Th
They can't.
I thought the Arsenal bottle guy was fucking brilliant. well done Sir.
I agree. He wasn't trying to 'get himself on tv' imo - the cameras picked him up. He was happy celebrating and sent out the message loud and clear from our fanbase, and no doubt that of many other teams, that ArsAnal are bottlers.I think he was more trying to take the piss out of Arsenal and I think that’s fine because they have more than their fair share of arrogant pricks in their fan base. Not they have anything to get gobby at over the last 20 odd years.
