I’m deeply saddened by this news this morning. Bluemoon forum won’t be the same place without posts from Eccles. Never a word in anger about anyone and so many about her beloved John Stones. God bless you Sheila, you’ll be sadly missed.

Sadly I heard yesterday from a friend who goes on the bus from monton that Eccles Blue sadly passed away. Before her bad health started Sheila travelled home and away and liked to come on Bluemoon to support her beloved blues.

Sheila was a lovely likeable lady and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

God bless She. True blue.

Can you (via your friend) point family members to this thread, so they can see how much Sheila was thought of on Bluemoon?

I didn't know Eccles Blue and never (knowingly) met her on my travels to the Etihad or elsewhere.

But on here, an absolute ray of sunshine. Infatuated with Jonny Stones and had an unconditional positivity that many on here would do well to carry forwards. Her posts were instantly recognisable by mention of the boys in blue never giving in, and fighting to the end.

Rest in peace, EB. We'll chase down that domestic treble for you.

That's terrible news. I knew Sheila from the Points of Blue days and we kept in touch via Bluemoon. She was such a lovely lady and a loyal Blue. I'm devastated.

One of the last PoB meetings I was sat between her and Bill, and now both have gone. RIP Sheila and condolences to her family and friends.
